Examples? Can you give me an example of Michelle saying one thing and doing another?

No, off the top of my head I can't.  Simply because she's not running the show and never has; Barrack has. What you're not understanding is that it's not Big Mike that the DEM base would be voting for, but her husband.  I think she can easily be persuaded to be the first Black female president that saved this country from Donald Trump. She is/was popular with the MSM and Hollywood elite. She doesn't have to do anything but do what her husband tells her to do.  He'll be running things from the side lines just as he's doing now.

GOP needs to exact somehow, someway enact some legislation, limiting executive power on a short term basis.  EO's, proclamations, decrees, whatever.   He needs to be presented or proven as a modern day Chauncy Gardener.

The GOP needs to invoke the 25th amendment now while Joe's performance is fresh in the minds of all that watched.

Speaker Johnson may be doing just that.

Last night was like watching the Hindenburg crash into the Titanic.  The only winner was the ice berg.

No, off the top of my head I can't.

Exactly
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

How Biden could be replaced as the Democratic nominee

By Annabella Rosciglione
June 28, 2024 9:27 am

After Thursday’s faltering debate performance by President Joe Biden, some Democrats are starting to talk about what it would take to replace him as their nominee in November.

The party convention does have an avenue for nominating a new candidate, but it’s a convoluted process that hasn’t been considered nor used in decades. Biden, however, would need to step down for that to happen.

In the immediate post-debate analysis, many political commentators began reporting fears from Democratic leadership about Biden’s debate performance.

“There is a sense of shock at how he came out at the beginning of this debate. How his voice sounded. He seemed a little disoriented,” David Axelrod, who was a top White House and campaign official for former President Barack Obama, said on CNN. “There are going to be discussions about whether he should continue.”

Most Democrats have continued to back the president, including Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). Other Democrats whose names have been thrown around in the fallout of Biden’s performance in the debate span a wide range of political ideologies and demographics, which could prove risky as no Democrat has been vetted in the national spotlight like Biden has.

President Joe Biden, who reportedly will not drop out of the 2024 presidential race, will participate in the second debate in September, a Biden adviser told CNN Friday.

Over the last 30 days, Biden has spent a grand total of four nights at the White House.

So who in the heck is running the country?

This is big. It's likely already too late to remove Joe Biden from the ballot.

WISCONSIN — It's already too late to remove Joe Biden from the ballot.

NEVADA—After tonight, the fourth Friday in June, it will be too late to remove Joe Biden.

GEORGIA—Only a few weeks remain before it will be too late to remove Biden from the ballot.

From DailyMail:

The Heritage Oversight project has set their sights on three contentious swing states where they believe taking Biden off the Democratic ticket would not allow anyone else to replace him: Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin does not allow withdrawal from the ballot for any reason besides death.

In Nevada, no changes can be made to the ballot after 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year or 'a nominee dies or is adjudicated insane or mentally incompetent.'

If Biden were to withdraw less than 60 days before the election Georgia his name will remain on the ballot but no votes will be counted.

In Texas, the two party's nominees have until the 74th day before the election to withdraw from the ballot. Some states, like South Carolina, do not allow candidates to withdraw for political reasons.

If they do, Kamala becomes President. It opens the door for her to run directly as the nominee. There is risk in that. The Biden charade has been going on this long, letting it go another 6 months doesn't likely make much difference.

... Gavin Newsom just has to legally change his name to Joe Biden ... problem solved.

Political Machines used to run candidates with the same name as the opponent to confuse the voters and diffuse votes for the opponent across multiple candidates.  This helped their candidate win a plurality of the vote.

The Real Winner Of Last Night’s Debate Was Gavin Newsom

BY: TRISTAN JUSTICE
JUNE 28, 2024

Waiting in the wings is the 56-year-old governor of America’s largest state, making sure to take every opportunity to land national airtime.

California’s far-left governor spent the hour before Thursday night’s debate in the media spin room ostensibly cheerleading for a president he knows he is about to replace, either in four years or four months.

“This is it,” Gov. Gavin Newsom told reporters ahead of the primetime event, going after former President Donald Trump more than promoting President Joe Biden. “This is liberalism versus illiberalism.”

“This is very sobering for me and I hope for the American people,” Newsom added.

What was more sobering, however, was when the 81-year-old incumbent took the stage and put his senility on display. Here are some of the headlines Americans woke up to Friday morning:

New York Times: ‘It’s Frightening’: Democratic Voters Worried by Biden’s Struggles in Debate

Washington Post: Democrats panic over Biden’s debate performance, doubt his future

Politico: Dems freak out over Biden’s debate performance: ‘Biden is toast’

Newsweek: Joe Biden Stumbles During Debate: Six Moments That Hurt the President

The Trump campaign was quick to capitalize on Biden’s poor performance with an ad highlighting some of the president’s worst moments.

Immediately after the debate ended, CNN’s John King noted “a deep, a wide and a very aggressive panic” engulfing the Democratic Party.

We'll see. California is in such a mess, I don't see Newsom as an alternative to Joe.  The guy would be another train wreck.  However, I do believe that Trump would beat him if we have a fair election.
