I've been saying that the public is going to demand to be "saved" from the humiliation of Biden, opening the door for Big Mike or someone else out of the blue. They'll bend the rules and/or laws to get it done.

I've said that all along...they will have Joe step down and tell Kamel who her VP will be...Big Mike has been my prediction.  Trump needs to wait to select his VP...his VP choice will be crucial to him getting re-elected.

Who here watched the debate vs getting highlights here or, like me, did both?

I was back and forth.  Listened, mostly while reading @mystery-ak 's excellent coverage.  But each time I clicked over to Biden, he simply looked pathetic.  CNN did him no favors keeping the camera on him the entire time.

I watched half of the debate.  It was painful to watch Joe trying to look cognitive and the message I got from Trump is he didn't want to run again.  So here we have it.  Trump is aging...should he win the election, I think he'll stay in for a few months and step down.  Again, his VP pick is crucial.

Bottom line is that this country is in very dire straits.

It may have been my imagination but Biden's pupils appeared dilated

If my assessment is correct, then I have no doubt they medicated him with something

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Watching CNN post debate analysis. Anderson Cooper (corrected post) just came at Kamala pretty hard.

I think there are going to be a few Democrats approached in the coming weeks by DNC bigwigs

Big Mike wont be on that list. But I agree with you that  I can see them looking seriously at Beshear

They were hoping to have him ready by 2028, but now they may move up the schedule.

Naw.  Trump's ego will not allow that.  He wins, he is there for the full four years.

Over the last 30 days, Biden has spent a grand total of four nights at the White House.

So who in the heck is running the country?

Biden’s performance will be the dominant story but the debate also showed neither candidate has any serious ideas regarding inflation, deficits and debt, or the insolvency of SS and Medicare

You could just see the numbers  turning faster on the debt clock when each of these guys spoke

Well, that was fun.

I guess Pres. Trump accepting CNN's debate conditions wasn't such a bad idea after all, huh?

I dunno, exactly, but it's obvious from tonight's performance, they've been doing it for a while.

Just a shot in the dark, but RFK Jr's policy stances aren't that far from the current mess, so watch him fill that gap and go over to the Dems.

So who in the heck is running the country?
Obama, Jarrett, and his whole anti-America communist 'crew'.
Obama and his 'posse' are running the country and have been in charge since the day Biden was allegedly "elected" with 581 million graveyard votes.

Biden is STUPID ... and the giggling weirdo that goes with him are nothing. Obama just swept them aside with no effort.

Potentially, but for a different reason than I thought.  The dem convention is in late August.  If they nominate someone with middling favorability, that person will be competitive immediately.

Of note: this has become even more apparent of late, and Obama isn't hiding in the wings, but repeatedly stepping into the spotlight to keep this running.

I can't think of any POTUS who had a 'former' that blatantly prominent in his doings.

Biden's pudding brain beat Trump's lack of message discipline.

That's a joke right?

I've been watching these since Nixon v. Humphrey, and this is the most lop sided defeat in a POTUS debate I've seen.  By far.

The most concerning thing about tonight:

WHO IS RUNNING THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW?

Really, wondering that only from tonight?  I am sarcastic, for I know all of you know WELL that Wrecking Ball Joe has NOT been running anything.  With Susan Rice in the White House and 90% of Obama's henchmen, there is only one answer to that question.  Obama has and is serving his 3rd term, with WBJ adding his 2 cents along the way.  And that is all it is, HIS TWO CENTS!!!!!!

It is so obvious he is NOT in control, or perhaps he would have been sharper.  But he got rolled into the basement in 2020, and got elected without campaigning.  And as POTUS, he has spent MOST OF HIS TIME doing things other than what one would expect from a POTUS.  Why or how can he do that?

BECAUSE HE IS NOT FUNCTIONING AS POTUS!   PERIOD!!!

MYSTERY-AK...
It would be unprecedented political malpractice for Democrats to nominate Joe Biden.

You are right of course, but it was malpractice in 2020.  Who would ever believe Biden would end up the candidate for the Democommies in 2020, say in January?  No one.  Absolutely no one.  But Wrecking Ball Joe was the literal perfect stooge.  Unaware of anything going on, all he needed was his favorite flavor of ice cream, a young girl to sniff her hair, and he was good for a day or two.  And the Democommies accepted this empty suit because he met  the needs of the communist fraction of the Democommies, and that suited Obama just fine.  Susan Rice was there directing all the Obama clowns in their daily destruction of the nation.  Obama made major advancements in reshaping the USA, and having this empty suit perv to take the fall for all of it.  THAT IS THE UGLY TRUTH OF IT ALL!

So now, in a debate with Trump, he said many nonsensical idiot statements of someone that has been a resident of a nursing facility for years, and now everyone is surprised and shocked.  Ugggh!

The American people get what they deserve with these communists.

I spoke to two black guys tonight, one a friend, who claims to be Independent, and his friend, who is a Democrat, and despite how badly WBJ performed tonight, both indicated they would vote for Biden, despite knowingly recognizing he is destroying the economy.

A great philosopher said, "STUPID IS AS STUID DOES".

Actually not a great philosopher, but Forrest Gump and his mother.  But it applies to certain demographics, who after seeing clearly that someone like WBJ has no right being outside the nursing home, they will vote for this dead from the neck up fool.  Ugggh!!!

Simply put, our founders were very wise men, and they put considerable thought into creating this country.  Back then, you could only vote if you were a land owner.  That consideration was absolutely brilliant.  These were people that had a vested interest in the outcome of governance.  Moving away from that was a huge mistake.  It happened in the 1820-1850 timeframe, and I can't find much reasoning for it for the decisions made at that time.

From my view, it was malpractice to select many who ran for POTUS, starting with Gov Dukakis, Sen Bob Dole, and last but not least, Sen McCain, who I thought was a complete zero, and proved as much by being the deciding vote to keep Obamacare, just to spite Trump, or perhaps he was actually showing his true self, a major POS.  And there have been others through the years.

But for the here and now, the Democommies are required to stick with Biden.  Only thing stopping that would be if Biden checks out between now and the convention.  I would not put anything past the Democommies to make that happen between now and then.  They already killed one POTUS, who we still do not know the exact truth about, but it is safe to assume the CIA took him out, along with others, and that is all being kept secret.

And who would make another perfect stooge? Can you say Kamala Harris?  Scary thought, but it could happen, and another fixed election, and Obama has a 4th term in the fashion of Vladimir Putin, using surrogates to hold the office while actually running things from the shadows.
