Where can the debate be watched?
CNN will broadcast the debate on CNN, CNN International, and CNN en Espanol. The debate can also be watched live on CNN.com. CNN is also partnering with the streaming service Max, formerly HBO Max, and the debate can be streamed there.
CNN can also be accessed by any cable provider, YouTube TV, FuboTV, or Hulu + Live TV.
Other large networks like ABC, CBS, Fox News, and NBC/MSNBC will simulcast the debate on their own networks. CNN and other TV networks will have live analysis of the debate immediately following its conclusion.
What time is the debate?
The debate will begin at 9 p.m. Eastern time or 6 p.m. Pacific time. It is 90 minutes long and will include two commercial breaks.
Some of the rules this year are different from previous years. Both candidates will not be able to use notes, cannot consult with aides during breaks, and will have muted microphones. Both men will only be allowed to have pen, paper, and a bottle of water at their podium. There will also not be a live audience.
Both campaigns have accepted the rules of the CNN debate.
