Sneakypete....
« on: June 26, 2024, 09:23:55 pm »
Is anyone in contact with sneakpete?..I have tried emailing him with the address I have but no response.

If so is he okay..I have been worried about him.

If he just left TBR so be it..I just want to know if he's alright?

Pete was never what we could call "All right" but I hope he is all right.

I'm stumped.  I really miss his presence here.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

Me, too. I hope he is just taking a break.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I strongly suspect that he just left.

Just my two cents as a casual observer when @sneakypete was posting regularly...

1) He gets relentlessly dog-packed while adhering to HIS beliefs and principles.
2) He gets understandably triggered
3) He responds in his own way which gets admin warnings and/or week-long timeouts
4) He reaches his limit and says all of you can ESAD & GFYs.
5) Rinse and Repeat one time too many.

Many of us miss him and are concerned because he isn't in the best of health.

Wishing you would check-in, buddy!

I like SP, but he lets his emotions get the best of him from time to time. Hey, it happens to the best of us. I hope he's ok.

NAH. We were friends outside of his political bent, and had many enjoyable conversations, both in the forum and by PM. I don't believe he walked off. I think something's wrong. He'd have checked in to answer me by now.

Pete and I both served in the same command at different times in Vietnam, it's a small community really and we all know, or know of, each other. I know where Pete lives, and nothing has appeared in any of the newspapers there since the first of April. I'm sure he's OK. Just being obstinate, which is common among men who were at the tip of the spear at one time or another.

Hopefully that will make him mad enough to come back and fuss about it.

Meant to define a long past tense of friendship, and a short past tense of 'he seems to be gone'... I join you in your hope.

If you could reach out to the vet net down in there and get a wellness check, I would sure appreciate it.
If he has wandered off, that's alright, and I'll say no more. I just don't think that's right.
He had  a lot of lonesome going on, and I think we grounded him that way. I don't see him walking off, despite his declarations... He still came by anyway, and our PMs actually increased.

I've been worried about SP as well.

I hope he checks in with someone, just to say I'm ok.
