“Would you be happy sharing, not owning, a car?”
World Economic Forum: “The Netherlands is building a neighborhood where every car must be shared. There’ll be one vehicle for every three homes and no space for privately owned cars.”
“Residents will be encouraged to cycle, use public transport, or borrow from a pool of shared cars… And everything that residents need will be within walking distance.”

I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

Nitwits.
While kids up here do ride bicycles in -30 weather, using them as a main transportation device has certain drawbacks, especially on the really nasty days.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
