An illegal alien with at least 16 prior deportations was arrested after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed in Colorado last week, killing one motorist and seriously injuring another, according to reports.

The horrifying wreck unfolded at around 5 p.m. on June 11 near Conifer, a town in the foothills southwest of Denver.

The driver of a big rig lost control while traveling at “excessive speed” on U.S. Highway 285, and during an ensuing crash, 47,000 pounds of steel pipe and angle iron were dumped onto the road and other vehicles, 9News reports.

A man identified as 64-year-old Scott Miller was killed in the wreck, and another unidentified motorist was seriously injured.
