James Carville Calls For White House-Led ‘Enforcement Mechanism’ To Make Media Help Biden Beat Trump

Democratic strategist James Carville in a Thursday podcast episode called for President Joe Biden’s White House to help establish a way to compel the media to help defeat former President Donald Trump.

The New York Times’ executive editor Joe Kahn in May said his publication’s duty is to cover what Americans care about rather than what benefits Biden and hurts Trump, with the president’s close aides reportedly urging officials to criticize the NYT’s coverage since they believe the election is “existential” for the nation. Carville on “Politics War Room” suggested the White House go a step further by telling the media more specifically what to cover and “have some kind of enforcement mechanism” to do so.

“I call it the problem of the mosquito in a news colony,” Carville said. “You got to pick a spot, alright, and there’s so many things about Trump. He’s crooked, he’s treasonous, he uses racism, he’s incompetent, he’s vulgar, he’s a sexual predator. By the way, twenty-six women have credibly accused him of sexual improprieties, alright. But you get one and the next day it’s something else, and you’re jumping around.”

Trump is the greatest gift to the media since the O.J. Simpson Bronco chase.  He's great for ratings, views, and ad revenue.  People can't look away from Tangerine Mussolini.

I hold Trump responsible for January 6th, but, there is a slight chance I would vote for him anyway.  Biden is that bad.

Biden's policies have benefited a narrow slice of college educated Progressive liberals while ignoring the concerns of a majority of working Americans.

Inflation has not been transitory.
Illegal immigrants are causing my state and local taxes to increase.
The Green New Deal has made my energy and heat bills more expensive.
College Debt forgiveness make my wife and I feel like chumps for working hard and paying our bills.
Biden projects weakness to America's enemies.

Biden's first term has sucked so much, Trump still has a chance to get elected to a 2nd term.

The press was more subtle about their bias at one time

The "media" is a couple of large corporations who use politics to gin up ratings and revenue.  Their first responsibility is to their shareholders, not the truth.

To where do you think all the cash from campaigns, PACs, and SuperPACs go?  Towards advertising in the media.  The media needs to cultivate an audience that maximiizes political advertising revenue, not truth.
