I keep hearing about "fat acceptance" and what not, but this poor lady was 850 lbs and it took quite a number of people to get her out of the house. Then she couldnt get buried because of other challenges.

Now the mom is begging the state of Wisconsin that there should be laws passed protecting people like "her baby" so this won't happen to other families.

I am sorry, but the state doesn't owe you diddly. This mother enabled her bed bound daughter to get this obese. You don't get to be this weight without an enabler.

This news story just got me so angry for some reason. I wish the mom instead of saying the State needs to help her, had taken her daughter to Dr Now or a doctor like him and tried to get her healthy before something like this happened.

I quite agree. The families of the morbidly obese too often enable them by providing the massive quantities of unhealthy food they consume, and therefore should bear some responsibility for the consequences. I say that after having watched a few episodes of Dr. Now's show. Every single time, the family could have said no, you're not getting three pizzas and a bag of potato chips for dinner, you can have a chicken breast and a salad - but they never do.

  • Well EXCUSE me!
Well the situation isn't new, I definitely recall more than one story from the past where they had to cut open walls and even use a crane to remove...excessively corpulent people from buildings, sometimes still living sometimes not.

Choices have consequences. Government is not responsible for protecting people with fork-knife-and-spoon-control problems from the consequences of their choices.
I am not and never have been a leftist.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Yep. Whoever fed her enabled the waste of what may have been a wonderful life. Sometimes, love is tough, even hard, and the alternative only a masquerade of feelgood in a mask.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

See this all the time with obese patients in the hospital
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
