America is facing “the highest terror threat possible” warns the top House Republican on intelligence.

Republican Ohio Congressman Mike Turner has called on the Biden administration to declassify information on terror threats after eight people with alleged ties to Isis were arrested in the US last week.

Speaking on CBS, Turner, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, said that the threat was “no longer speculative, no longer hypothetical”.

He added: “We have terrorists that are actively working inside the United States that are a threat to Americans.”
