Was Bernie lying or ignorant?

A quote from Bernie Sanders:

“Sea level rise due to climate change will destroy up to 70 million homes over the next 30 years. Trump thinks that’s good because we’ll ‘have a little more beachfront property.’ He will sacrifice our planet for the profits of fossil fuel executives. We cannot let that happen.”

So the question for Bernie Sanders is where did you get this? From the same people who said this below?

In 1988, a Washington Post reporter asked James Hansen what a warming Earth would look like in 20 or 40 years in the future. Hansen reportedly looked out a window and said New York City’s “West Side Highway [which runs along the Hudson River] will be under water.”

“And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds. And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change,” he said.

None of these are even close to being true.

I'm going to say he was lying.  When I was a child, the big "climate" scare was a new ice age.  Then it was aerosol spray cans punching a hole in the ozone. Then it was as we all know global warming aka climate change. I could go on and on with all the science scares, but I don't have time.  My point being that we have yet to see any of these doom and gloom predictions come true.  I think Bernie is a charlatan selling snake oil just like a lot of other governmental officials.  How else is he able to afford his lifestyle?

On a side note, one fear I had as a child was quicksand.  Where is all of this quicksand that I saw so much of in the movies?

I believe he was lying as well.  BTW, welcome to The Briefing Room @Julius Agricola  happy77
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Comrade Bernie was carrying water for the global Communist conspiracy to destroy the West from within via the Global Climate Change hoax.
