Trump gains but can’t win majority of Jewish voters as Biden battles his party: Poll

The Democratic Party’s intraparty battle over policy toward Israel during its war against Hamas has been harmful but not catastrophic for President Joe Biden.

The American Jewish Committee’s 2024 Survey of American Jewish Opinion, conducted with 1,001 Jewish adults in the United States, shows that Biden’s polling figures in the presidential election are roughly the same as in exit polls from 2020.

The 2024 poll shows Biden leading former President Donald Trump among Jews, 61% to 23%, while in 2020, Biden won Jewish voters over Trump, 69% to 31%, according to AP VoteCast.

Trump has attempted to court Jewish voters over Biden’s handling of the war in Gaza, which has garnered criticism from supporters and opponents of Israel. But Trump’s attempts to capitalize on the dissatisfaction do not appear to be making significant changes with Jewish voters.

When asked who would be better for the U.S.-Israel relationship, a plurality said Biden over Trump, 49% to 25%, and a majority said Biden would be better at combating antisemitism in the U.S., 55%, compared to Trump, 20%.

Last month, Biden spoke at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Days of Remembrance ceremony, denounced antisemitism, and affirmed his commitment to U.S.-Israel relations. Later that month, Biden came under significant criticism from pro-Israel activists for halting some weapons shipments to Israel over its proposed operation in Rafah.

Remember all that talk recently about "a shift" in "the Jewish vote" from DCommunist to Republican?

So much for that.
Look at those numbers above.
Mr. Trump got 31% of the Jewish vote in 2020, while now he is getting 23% ??
(I realize that there seems to be about 14% of the vote unaccounted for, some of that may be going to RFK jr.)

The Jews aren't going to change (at least not the American ones).
They'll "vote left" until the leftists march them into the boxcars, for another "resettlement" ...

American Jews apparently are so wedded to the dems that “Party Über Alles” wins out as always.  If Biden’s abhorrent treatment of Israel and radical dems’ antisemitism won’t flip them, nothing will.

It has little to do with foreign policy.  Most of the jews are secular, with only 26% believing in the God of the Bible according to a Pew survey.  Jews were foremost among ethnic groups favoring worldwide socialism in the 20th century.  Israel itself was a socialist basket case until 1977, and the American jews never really moved away from their left wing ideology.  Now they don't vote in the same bloc as they did in previous decades, but until the Democratic party starts treating them like they treat white males, it will continue to draw at least 2/3 of the jewish vote.

Do not be too surprised by this. Lot's of Jews supported Hitler and joined the Nazi Party in the 1930s.
Castro in Cuba had a lot of Jewish support as did Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.
Jews, including a majority of American Jews, supported Khrushchev and Brezhnev, who persecuted Jews.

Some Jews are easily led by the nose to their own destruction. It is a Jewish thing that nobody understands.
