GOP’s top four picks for vice president are not on Trump’s short list

Four of the top choices of running mates for former President Donald Trump are not on his short list, leading some supporters to believe that his list is either a head fake or that he is letting revenge guide his decision.

In the latest I&I/TIPP Poll just released this morning, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) are the top four choices among Republican voters to run for vice president.

Three ran against Trump — DeSantis, Haley, and Ramaswamy — said difficult things about him, and are off his short list. Abbott has also clashed with Trump, though they have recently joined tightly on closing the border.

None received a package sent out by Trump’s team vetting potential running mates, according to reports.

Asked for their first pick, Republicans listed their top four choices in this order:

— DeSantis 14%.

— Haley 11%.

— Ramaswamy 8%.

— Abbott 7%.

The survey analysis picked up on the concerns about Trump’s list.

Rick Scott's been such a brown nosing ass kisser, I'm guessing he gets the nod.

Trump likes these kinds of boot lickers.

   It'll be hard for him to surpass the stupidity of the Pence pick but IMHO he's up to the task.

Since Trump is now a Florida resident, VP pick can't reside in Florida.

The list mentions DeSantis -- no, he's from FL.  He'll likely go with Haley is my guess.  Besides Ramsy she is the worst possible pick so he'll go with her. Far be it for him to actually make a good choice in picking someone.

   Ben Carson, really, Peter Principle much?  Though Smarter and Blacker than Pence~He's way over his head in the Trenches of Politics, particularly the Trump style of politics.  Might as well do Tim Scott or Oprah, IMHO, though both of my alternatives have significant drawbacks it wouldn't surprize me if Trump picked either.

The top 3 in that list are just a list of his primary opponents. Name recognition and nothing more.

They don't call the GOP the Stupid Party for nothing.
