People Want Electric Cars Banned and Here’s 18 Reasons Why
 
Realistically, electric cars are the future whether we like it or not. Some people do believe that there’s a case for them to be banned though. Do you agree? Check out 18 of their reasons for a potential ban in this article.

Seems presumptuous to me. We buy our vehicles based on the worst weather we will see, not the nicest. There are far too many shortfalls in performance in winter in northern latitudes for these to be 'the future'. If I wanted to spend that sort of money on a summertime vehicle, I'd buy a new motorcycle and have plenty of money left for other things.

I even contemplated buying a scooter awhile back, but too many storms and rain in our rainy season and now my balance isn't what it used to be.

I find it amusing(Ok it pisses me off) that here in California, which may have the most EV's on the road but still a small percentage overall, the communists in charge are already crying about there not being enough gas tax money to maintain the roads. not so long ago a majority of Californians voted to add an additional tax on each and every gallon to...wait for it, maintain the roads. They now want to tax drivers, to start with, 3 cents a mile driven because of all the EV's that don't pay a gas tax, but oddly they don't want to just tax EV drivers this per mile fee they of course want to tax everyone. F'N California communists!

For the price of a Tesla, you can buy a full dress Harley. Not up for that, there are the Can-Am three-wheelers (more stable than a sidecar rig). With your change, you can buy the finest boots, leathers, and helmet, fuel, and party for a year. Just saying. That is just one of many ICE options available. Well cared for, your ride will hold most of its value, and you'll meet some fine folks on the road.

As for EVs, there are some 200 (two hundred) licensed in North Dakota, compared to 35,756 motorcycles, and over 230,000 other vehicles.
I don't see EVs taking over any time soon.

In  my old van (dress for the weather!) I drove from Killdeer, ND west to US 85 (18 miles), and the liter of tonic water I'd set on the engine cover froze solid on the way.  :shrug:
