Biden mocked for touting justice for Trump while ignoring Supreme Court

President Joe Biden weighed in on former President Donald Trump‘s guilty verdict Friday afternoon, saying justice was served and should be respected.
“It’s reckless, it’s dangerous, and it’s irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don’t like the verdict,” Biden said from the White House. “Our justice system has endured for nearly 250 years, and it literally is the cornerstone of America.”
“The justice system should be respected, and we should never allow anyone to tear it down,” Biden continued. “It’s as simple as that.”
Biden’s critics say it’s not so simple, with several pointing to the president’s words and actions regarding a verdict he didn’t appreciate.
“Biden claims that ‘the justice system should be respected,’ but apparently he only means it regarding Trump,” Job Creators Network Foundation President Elaine Parker said. “When the Supreme Court struck down his student loan giveaway scheme, Biden ignored the law and gave away billions in an effort to buy votes from college grads. Respect is the last thing that Biden has shown to the law or to the taxpayers.”
Many pointed to a post on X Biden sent out the day before the Trump verdict was reached in which the president bragged about forgiving student loans even after the Supreme Court ruled it is illegal for him to do so without Congress.
