The International Criminal Court announced Monday that it is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar on war crime charges.

The charges are tied to the deadly Oct. 7 terror attacks on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza, the court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, said in a statement on Monday.

Warrants are also being sought for Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and two top Hamas leaders.
The charges against the Hamas terror chiefs include extermination, murder, torture, rape and taking hostages, all as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Israel is accused of “wilful killing,” “starvation of civilians as a method of warfare” and “wilfully causing great suffering.”

“My office submits that the war crimes alleged in these applications were committed in the context of an international armed conflict between Israel and Palestine, and a non-international armed conflict between Israel and Hamas (together with other Palestinian Armed Groups) running in parallel,” the prosecutor said.

I agree.  An arrest warrant for Bibi for defending his country that was brutally attacked and hostages never released (some presumed dead), is craziness and very concerning.

Amal Clooney, the wife of Hollywood actor George Clooney, played crucial role in the ICC proposing arrest warrant for Netanyahu.
Clooney, a human rights lawyer, acted as an advisor on a panel of experts, to recommend the ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan seek warrants for Israeli PM Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas’ Gaza Strip leader Yahya Sinwar.
The prosecutor said he was “grateful for the advice” from the expert panel which included Amal Clooney.

In a shocking display of audacity, Amal Clooney, who parades herself as a human rights lawyer, revealed a glaring and unforgivable bias on critical issues. ISRAEL: ICC Prosecutor @KarimKhanQC used his arrest warrant application announcement to point out that the ICC recognizes Palestine as a 'state' (the US does not) but tellingly he referred to Israel is a 'territory'. Khan doesn't think Israel should exist.

ICC now threatens U.S. Senators who criticized the courts intention to arrest Israeli PM Benjamin Netenyahu.

“When individuals threaten to retaliate against the Court or Court personnel … such threats, even when not acted upon, may also constitute an offence against the administration of justice under Art. 70 of the Rome Statute.”

The courts statement comes after 12 U.S. Senators wrote a letter to the court slamming their announcement on arresting Netanyahu telling the court their intention is  “not only a threat to Israel´s sovereignty but to the sovereignty of the United States.”

The senators slammed the court saying “The United States will not tolerate politicized attacks by the ICC on our allies. Target Israel and we will target you.”

Criticize the ICC and you become a war criminal-in-waiting too, apparently.

Well, the puffed-up prosecutor might note several things.

Not least that the USA is not a signatory to the Rome Statute.

And so, threatening US senators with a statute that the US does not recognize is as scary as threatening someone with your imaginary black belt in karate.
