MIAMI – An early-season heat wave is baking South Florida with a dangerous combination of heat and humidity through the end of the week.

The FOX Forecast Center said a front is stalled across the central part of the state, with summer-like heat continuing to build to its south. High temperatures are expected to soar into the 90s, and record-high temperatures will continue to be in jeopardy through Sunday.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

It's Flori duh!   All these northern cracker transplants moving to central and south FL must not have gotten the memo before they loaded up the truck and moved to Disney.

Morons.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Record temps in Florida for this time of year already.

I live in a northern state. I cut grass on March 15 th this year. My family has owned  an office building since 1979. Back in the 80's it was common to have the parking lot snow plowed 35-40 times over the course of a winter.-ogften twice a day due to heavy snows This past winter 2 times, year before that once, and last decade or so about 5-6 times per year on average.

We are warming up.

IOW, Florida won't be the only State growing oranges and Canada will eventually become the breadbasket of North America.

Trollz  gotz to be trollz.

So even with your silly <50 year meteorlogical sample size you are spewing this scam?  Take a few statistics classes before running your mouth off.

We had 3 citrus killing events in the past 3 yrs. here.  After not having a <18 degree day for 15 years.  I could make the same damn ridiculous  claim that the climate is cooling.

And even on a larger macro scale, we could have a spirited discussion, on why Greenland was inhabitable a 1000 years ago, and not now.

Stuff the climate scam bull shit.

Yep.  It's hot out.  Hotter than normal for this time of year compared to the past several years. Likely, it's going to be a very hot summer with tropical storms. Tropical storms are the norm.  Possibly a few hurricanes.

However, Florida has weather warmer than most states and weather is cyclical.

As the ole saying goes, if you can't stand the heat ... get out!!!   Way too many transplants around.

Note to @banddag   Hello.  Weather IS cyclical.  We go through warming trends and cooling trends. High temperatures and low temperatues; cooler and warmer than usual some years. Storms and no storms in some areas.  Tornadoes in some areas and none in others.  Hurricanes in some areas and not in others.

All this hype about climate change is a bunch of crappola.  What are you going to do next year if the temps are cooler than normal???

IN our parts...   SE Texas, SW Louisiana, almost all the 20 foot citrus, (oranges, satsumas, etc.) were lost to a couple of recent freezes.  That after these things were thriving for close to 20 years.

I don't mind left wing trolls as a rule, but when they start spewing the scam, I have to act.

Georgia lost 90% of their peach crop last year due to warming issues. Earlier than normal warming so trees budded out then normal freeze happened and killed all the buds. Other issues but I believe this was the major cause.

Texas is becoming a parched state. Texas ranchers are buying semi truck full loads of hay from  my area.

As you said the  northern US states will become the new breadbasket.

Stuff the climate scam bull shit.

I get it . You worked in the fossil fuel industry. That is where you made your wealth and your pension plan. You are biased.

This anti climate change/man is not involved crap will come back to bite Republicans down the road.

My BIL was a 3 star general. He saw the military classified info that climate change was going to be the cause of nearly all future wars.  If the US military believes it I believe. it. Fighting over water, arable land etc. India and China's skirmish a few years ago was based upon water as China was siphoning off the mountain water that India needed.

It will also lead to mass migration as people leave parched areas.

This anti climate/anti ev/anti renewables is truly the most childish stance ever  made.

Your naievity is breath taking.  You claim to be open and well read, but it seems you are missing the increasing evidence that this climate scam is based on left wing induced biased, 3rd world wealth redistribution, and a host and rallying flag for a mutltiude of socialist activist causes.

And to the fact, what would your BIL (so called general) would think if he heard or knew your were sharing classified info on an internet site?  Not only are you a troll, you are left leaning disruptor, who is coming to conservative web sites as a faux moderate.  No one here is buying your snake oil.

Childish stance?  Do you have any idea how much this scam is going to cost America?  Your silly contention that this is an emergency is garbage.  So unless you can control sunspots, El-Nina, El-Nino, and other natural factors, your are help ruining the U.S. economy, and might just take us back technologically to the 1800's.  Do you think 350M Americans can surivie with 1800's tech?

My advise to you, is to date Greta T.  I think she is legal now .Or buy some seaside property next to Obama. This doesn't seem to be impacting their real estate buying habits.

Oh here we go:

1. Conspiracy theory nonsense.

2. That classified info he read was from 20 years ago. It has been published all over the net since then.

3. Like coal?

China is rapidly moving into renewable energy-more than all countries in the world combined.. Yes they are building coal plants left and right but many are not used rm use very little. Due to past droughts they lost their huge source of  hydro power They know they have a serious pollution problem.
Coal is also very expensive to China because of shipping from US and Australia. They also do not want to be dependent on us when war comes between our countries.

1. Conspiracy theory nonsense.

Bullshit.  Evidence amounts daily of the masking of this scam.  Don't you find it strange that the WEF, entire left wing, Antifa, BLM, and other left wing activist are the ones especially pusing this agenda.  As far as I am concerned, you are in that boat too.

2. That classified info he read was from 20 years ago. It has been published all over the net since then.

Hint Hint....   Wars and battles have taken place for milleniums over resouces, including and especially towards water access.   BTW, I find it strange you included a fairly recent Sino-India skirmish to support a 20 year old "intelligence report".  Just how many 20 year old intelligence reports are valid, or remain pertinent.

What a tool.

Why is China rapidly moving towards renewables in huge numbers?  No blacks in China, No WEF, No Antifa and certainty no left wing groups.

So ... are you back to promoting solar??   :thud:  #1 - solar isn't feasible in some areas.   #2 - many homes with solar panels are not insurable  #3 - the theory that the electric companies will pay you back is crappola.  We don't have solar, yet we received a bill for a -$67 on our bill.  We had a credit instead of a charge this month; our electric company is a co-op.  #4 solar is very expensive, especially if you try to have your home completely reliant on solar.

I don't care about China.  I care about affordable energy for the U.S., and energy independence.

1. Well China sure does believe in Solar.

2. I am also a member of a coop for power and have been getting the credit 2014. Has nothing to do with solar. Several reasons. They charged you more than they anticipated/needed and you get the money back as a credit. When I signed up in our co-op in 1994 they said I would get my first credit back in 20 years

Solar prices are dropping in this country every year and the  systems improve very year

My sarcasm tag was simply because humans need to adapt.  This rock has had hot/cold periods.  Humans have repeatedly pushed back into "stone ages" due to extinction events.

It's probably why subterranean bipedal species are hundreds of thousands of years are more advanced than surface species.

The current land mass called the United States will be the prime exporter of dates and figs.

It's natural to think your region's abnormal weather patterns indicate a national  trend.

Here in Maryland, we haven't seen the sun in almost 2 weeks.  Overnight temps as low as the mid 40s...highs in the 50's and low 60's if we're lucky.

:pondering: If China is so big on renewable why oh why have they been building so many coal fired power plants and have huge graveyards of brand new EV's? Seems to me that the only place China is pushing renewables is on the gullible west, specifically America, to suck out it's cash and weaken it.

Hey let me throw out an irrelevant(to reality) climate observation, here in SoCal we had a very mild summer last year and a very mild spring(4 to 5 deg below average) so everybody better start buying lots of warm clothes and hording food because the new ice age is here!!  What is extremely laughable is that man, short of nuclear winter can truly affect the Earths climate. Consider the number of volcanoes actively spewing forth carbon dioxide and ashes into the atmosphere just this year and tell me that man has at any time had an effect anywhere near that. Globull Warming/Climate Change is simply a cash cow for some and through fear mongering a way to control a gullible or ignorant populace.

You can't have a discussion with a true believer, I tried that with my nephew who got a Masters in mechanical engineering at Berkley, but he'd seen the numbers don't you know and why would anyone fake data?

So, it was hot in Florida in May 15 years ago?

Climate Change happens - adapt or perish.

Mother Gaia does not have a thermostat that Man can use to manage the climate.

CO2 contributes to Global warming.  O2 and SO2 contribute to Global Cooling.

12,000 years ago - before Christopher Columbus and the Industrial Revolution - where I am sitting was covered by the Laurentide Ice Sheet.  It also retreated before Christopher Columbus and the Industrial Revolution.

Public resources should be allocated to adapting to Climate Change, while reducing pollution.

At best, Global Climate Change theory is an international anti-American Communist and Socialist conspiracy to destroy American Exceptionalism.

At worst, Global Climate Change theory is cover for elites to carry out mass extinction to achieve their ideal of utopia.

The Al Gore's of the world rail against cow farts as an excuse to remove meat from the human diet, yet, you know what else farts? - Elephants, Whales, Polar Bears, etc.  Where is Al Gore's plan to exterminate them?

As a deplorable, my needs are simple - leave me alone and stop trying to take away my stuff, commies.

I'll think of John Kerry the next time I'm taking a whiz at the airport before or after I fly coach; or when a private jet flies above my house as I'm taking a whiz at home.

Here is something that isn't 'theory'. Twice in my career I experienced weather where the official NWS temperatures were given at -54 degrees Fahrenheit. For some time you could look up those temperatures in North Dakota and Wyoming, but now, they are gone. warmed up by 7 or eight degrees and the record temps are given as being in the 1930s.

It dawns on me that when screwing with data to make the curve hotter, that messing at the coldest temperatures might be the way to increase the temperatures for that year without raising the highs beyond what people recall. It's a classic 'watch one hand while the other one pulls off the trick' deception.

So, as far as I am concerned, your dataset is seriously and officially corrupted.

None of those 'adjustments' made the data any colder. Warming and cooling are part of the planet's normal cycle, and the critters that cannot adapt or move die off. I find it incredibly stupid that in this situation, humans would divest themselves of energy supplies that have worked and which might enable them to adapt to changing circumstances, just when they might need them most. That's ELS (Extinction Level Stupidity).

Climate runs in cycles, and even given that the cycle may be on the thermal uptick, who is to say that is a bad thing besides some real estate developers in coastal areas and insurance companies?
There is no owner's manual to lay out the status quo as the 'right temperature', only the howling of those who want to preserve a planet wide dynamic system in stasis. That is insanity. It is the delusions of power and grandeur of a few translated into Mass Formation Psychosis, and if allowed to proceed unchallenged, could conceivably lead to the extinction of humans, starving and shivering in the dark.

I'm from North Dakota, and I'm all for global warming, especially since the folks in charge declared war on anything but sunshine and wind as the means to derive energy warm a house--which just won't work here in the winter, and because it's just as easy to freeze to death at 25 below as it is at 30 below. If I wanted to live in some sunbelt hive I would be there. I don't.

Why is China rapidly moving towards renewables in huge numbers?  No blacks in China, No WEF, No Antifa and certainty no left wing groups.

Solar prices are dropping in this country every year and the  systems improve very year
What latitude? How much agricultural land is going to be put out of production (and yes I have seen that). Is that the reason TPTB want us eating bugs--so the cattle don't rub against the solar arrays?

As I recall, in the 70's, the hysteria and promoted climate predictions were for an ice age. We are all gonna freeze to death.  8888crybaby I'm sure there was plenty of money made then as there has been today.

That was a little over 50 years ago. Not that long for a complete turn around...is it?

How long until what's happening in sunny California happens to other states? New rules penalize homeowners with solar because...wait for it, it's not fair to those who don't have solar and have to pay more! Good old socialist redistribution of wealth brought to you by socialist democrat party.

https://www.kcra.com/article/california-excess-solar-energy-credits-changing/43558255

Solar nonprofit in California disagrees with changes
Dave Rosenfeld, director of the Solar Rights Alliance, a nonprofit advocating for accessible solar energy, considers the CPUC's decision reckless in that it will make switching to rooftop solar a lot less affordable.

He said under the new rates, customers will see about 75-80% less than what they currently see when selling energy back.

Also they are pushing homeowners to install expensive batteries to store energy for the night time? So why exactly be connected to the grid at all? If you have batteries than you can legally decline connection to the grid, personally I think I'd be leery of having those batteries in my home considering the issues with EV's. But really the big selling point the modern day aluminum siding sales men have made is how much a homeowner would save selling excess power back to the utilities :silly: :silly: :silly: Reality is that there is now so much excess solar generated electricity in California that the utilities have to pay out of state utilities to take it, another wining situation for California homeowners conned into solar.

The US loses 2000 acres to housing developments, factories, roads every single day.   I posted last week if we went 100% solar the amount of land would be a drop in the ocean and gave the links. Not all solar is farm land. it's over parking lots, the desert, rooftops, garbage land and other areas.

Newsflash:  TX lost peaches in other years.  FL has also lost oranges and guess what they have lost oranges in other years -- either from frost, heat, drought or blight.

What are you going to do when TX gets rain all summer and their peach crop comes back???

Uh, sorry no, it was the media taking the prediction by, no argument, a few 'scientists' and 'experts and running with it because...well hysteria sells, just like the idiot 'expert' Ehrlich and his ridiculous hysteria inducing "Population Bomb" and it's no different with the hysteria inducing globull warming/climate change wankers. Their reason for global warming hysteria in the 70's, readings from sources that were once in open areas but as time passed were actually in heat islands where cities grew around them with lots of concrete and asphalt heat sinks, or the hysteria over aerosols and refrigerants being the cause of the Ozone hole, funny eliminating R-12 and pressurized propellants in hairspray, deodorants, etc. haven't stopped the cycle of the opening and closing of the Ozone hole  But one thing that did occur is all the money made off of consumers each time a different refrigerant was banned and equipment had to be updated or replaced. Sea levels haven't risen, snow hasn't disappeared, winter still happens as does summer and despite what the 'climatologist' fearmongers have hyped there are not more or more powerful storms due to 'climate change/globull warming.

I know this is a scam because of two things, one all the wealthy bastards telling us the end is near and we must all regress to a Medieval life style to survive continue to travel across the world in their carbon spewing private jets and buy and live in their seaside mansions and lying POS's like ManBearPig Algore have become filthy(and I mean filthy in every sense) rich pushing this bullshit on a frightened gullible public, if we are so on the precipice why is that little mental defective Greta jetting all over the world having become filthy rich because her daddy told her what to say and what to think while selling her brand?

Fine. put it over the cities, reduce the heat island effect, and find out it just isn't warming as much as is claimed.

How much of that 'sea level rise' is subsidence brought about by drawing down coastal aquifers?

Last time we had oceans here was in the Cretaceous, so I'm not worried.

Last time we had a kilometer of more of Ice here was only 12,000 years ago.

I'm opting for beachfront, if I get a choice.

:pondering: What is 'garbage land'? And why is ok with Gaia(not calling you one just asking a question) worshipers to permanently cover public desert land with solar farms but it's a high crime if the very same public that owns the land rides their OVR's on it. And since we are talking renewable energy, why is it a crime for anyone but an Native American to kill a Bald Eagle but Corporations that own Mr. Chop Chop wind turbines can kill as many as they want with their equipment with no repercussions? Why do the Gai worshippers and green weenies scream about the loss of pollinators while turning a blind eye to all the birds, bats and raptors killed by wind turbines? Why is whale hunting banned but it's ok for them to be killed in large numbers by corporate owned wind turbines...which by the way aren't green, just like solar panels aren't green.

We are supposed to shun fossil fuels for the good of the Earth by using 'green' power generated by equipment that than still kills animals and sea life. I just don't see the benefit over fossil fuel for supposed man made climate change, as a matter of fact it's down right asinine considering that nuclear power is a far better and cleaner option, especially over wind turbines that are decommissioned by be cut up and buried or dropeed in the ocean - very green indeed :silly: :silly: :silly:

Record temps in Florida for this time of year already.

I live in a northern state. I cut grass on March 15 th this year. My family has owned  an office building since 1979. Back in the 80's it was common to have the parking lot snow plowed 35-40 times over the course of a winter.-ogften twice a day due to heavy snows This past winter 2 times, year before that once, and last decade or so about 5-6 times per year on average.

We are warming up.

I really wish this was true.  With a 20°F increase in global temperatures, this planet could easily supply enough arable land to support a population of 20 billion.
