Amen! Amen! and Amen! Peace and Solitude - invaluable.
Some honesty here. Several years ago, I felt like putting a sign outside our front door that read "Leave Your Drama At the Door". Most ties with family members have ended, yes, I miss them, I still love them with all my heart and always will, but I do not miss all the drama that brought stress, tension and family quarrels.
Even though we have downsized, we still have a home large enough where Mr. Liberty can sit, relax, watch TV, drink his coffee, do his crafts, work in the garage and I can bake in the kitchen, tend to the garden, sit on the computer as long as I want, do puzzles, read books, adult color on the patio, etc. Yes we have been married going on 44 years, we have a life together of course, but we also have learned to enjoy peace and solitude.
