IRAN ATTACKS ISRAEL DIRECTLY

Over 200 explosive laden drones and ballistic missiles have been fired at Israel by Iran.

As this is being written, explosions are ringing out across the nation of Israel with warning sirens sending hundreds of thousands scrambling into bomb shelters.

This massive unprecedented attack was launched directly from Iran. The targets in Israel, and whether they’re military or civilian, are largely unknown at this point.

The first reported casualty was a 10-year-old Bedouin Israeli girl who was critically injured with a catastrophic head wound by falling shrapnel from a rocket intercept over eastern Israel near the Dead Sea. She was ventilated by MAGEN DAVID ADOM paramedics, provided other lifesaving interventions, and evacuated to the hospital.

MAGEN DAVID ADOM, Israel’s emergency services system, is on its highest level of alert. Catching up now after Shabbat. Obviously missed a lot. Here are my quick takeaways:

1) Iran’s attack against Israel — 200+ drones, cruise and ballistic missiles — more aggressive and pervasive than expected.

2) Israel’s response so far has been magnificent — intercepting 99% of the incoming.

3) Lots of help provided by USA, UK, France and even Jordan. We are grateful.

4) Iran literally attacked the Al Aqsa Mosque. Had Israel not intercepted the missile, 3rd holiest site in Islam destroyed.

The New York Times is reporting that the Iranian attack on Israel involved 185 drones, 110 surface-to-surface missiles, and 36 cruise missiles, which were launched from Iran, Iraq and Yemen.

The Spokesman of the Israel Defense Force, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari has made a Statement reporting that 99% of the Threats that were launched tonight against Israel by Iran were Intercepted which is a Very Significant Strategic Achievement; he further states that out of 170 One-Way “Suicide” Drone and 30 Land-Attack Cruise Missiles launched by Iran, 0 were able to enter Israeli Airspace and 25 of the Cruise Missiles were Downed by the Israeli Air Force. Alongside that, of the 120 Medium-Range Ballistic Missiles only a few Impacted the Territory of Israel having Struck the Area of Nevatim Airbase in the Negev Desert causing Minor Damage to Infrastructure; however despite the Damage, the Base is still Operational and Preparing to receive the 3 Squadron of F-35Is that are Stationed at the Base and have been Airborne tonight conducting Interceptions.

Iran celebrates 'victorious' attack on Israel, vows 'heavier' response if Israel retaliates

The Iranian Foreign Ministry celebrated the country's assault against Israel on Sunday, declaring the operation to be "powerful" and "victorious."

Iran launched some 300 drones and missiles from its own territory toward Israel, though vast majority were intercepted by air defenses. The Iranian regime shared a message from President Ibrahim Raisi.

“Raisi sends a message following historic, powerful, victorious operation against [the] Zionist regime,” the foreign ministry wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

"Iran's armed forces taught a lesson to the Zionist enemy," Raisi said. "Any new adventure will be responded with a heavier and regrettable response."

Israel claims it and its allies intercepted 99% of Iran's drones and missiles during Saturday's attack.

The Israeli military reacted by sending fighter jets to strike multiple Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including a major weapons manufacturing site.

Israel has yet to announce large-scale retaliation for Iran's attack, however. Its decision could lead to a regional war.

Biden calling for G7 meeting in response to Iran's 'brazen' attack

The IDF said Saturday that Iran has launched drones and ballistic missiles toward Israel weeks after a deadly strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria.

President Biden's administration is reportedly advising Israel that it may not have to retaliate against Iran thanks to its overwhelming success in intercepting the roughly 300 missiles and drones launched by Tehran on Saturday.

Biden's team says the successful interceptions were a major victory for Israel and sent a message to Iran and other regional adversaries, the New York Times reported Sunday.

Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shortly after Iran's assault on Saturday, assuring him that Israel had the full support of the U.S. The administration will also convene a meeting with G7 leaders on Sunday.

"Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks--sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel," Biden said, adding that U.S. forces had helped Israel intercept "nearly all" Iran's projectiles.

"While we have not seen attacks on our forces or facilities today, we will remain vigilant to all threats and will not hesitate to take all necessary action to protect our people," he continued.

NBC News reported Biden has privately said he fears Netanyahu is trying to drag the U.S. into war while a senior administration official told NBC, “The Israelis don’t always make the best strategic decisions.”
