President Joe Biden is interrupting his beach weekend to return to the White House as the as Israel and US forces in the Middle East braced for a possible impending attack by Iran.

Biden had been in Rehoboth Beach, Del., and was originally expected to return on Sunday, CNN reported.

The president is expected to be back at the White House Saturday to “consult with his national security team about events in the Middle East,” his administration confirmed.

Biden’s quick return to Washington, DC, may be a sign that tensions between Israel and Iran are reaching a boiling point.

This makes zero sense.  He's been at the beach for less than a day.  Nothing has changed between yesterday afternoon and today.

Why in Hades he thought heading for the beach was a good idea with things going the way they are in the ME eludes me. Maybe the problem is with the word "thought".
