These bottoms are getting a bum rap.

Bootcut, low-rise, skinny or straight — jeans reign supreme as a stylish staple in most wardrobes worldwide.

For decades, denim designs have graced the dapper derrière likes of Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, Taylor Swift and Kanye West.

The haute timelessness of the togs notwithstanding, recent research from Guangdong University of Technology found that wearing a pair of fast-fashion jeans just once creates a whopping 2.50 kg of carbon emissions. The environmental wear-and-tear of the pants is equivalent to driving 6.4 miles in an average gasoline-powered car.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists

Pants are optional to me. I wear jeans because society demands it.

But I would like to know what they presume to replace them with...

Just 7 wears on the average jeans... Folks must not heard of the jeand mom used to get us... Tough something or another, JC Penny jeans, that had the fashion appeal of Joe Biden in short shorts. But last they did. I still buy jeans that last... but hard to find great ones at a reasonable price now days, but I ain't as tough on them as I used to be. But even Wranglers have a life span of over 7 wears.

Washing wears clothes out... if your jeans ain't filthy, wear them another day. Something most Europeans already do because they know washing/drying eats clothes.

I think these climate nuts would prefer we all just kill ourselves. The problem is that they'd find some carbon-related issue with burial or cremation.  :pondering:

The reason Scots wore kilts is because a sheep can hear a zipper a mile away.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I've been wearing blue jeans since I was a teenager, and I still wear them -- mostly blue jean shorts.  I don't intend to stop wearing them. (I even wanted to get married in blue jeans -- but my father objected and I had a traditional fancy church wedding)!   I will be forever in blue jeans.

Bad for the earth? What kind of crappola is that anyways?

Ain't got none of that up in here... no chiggers either. Or poisonous snakes... Skinny dipping is a whole nuther thing without em. Take your gal for a roll in the wild flowers... You'll be fine. Other than the skeeters anyway... and you'll have to check her for ticks.  happy77

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
