People have been fleeing the cold weather of the north and moving to warmer climates in the south, but the Atlantic says global warming will cause them to move from Arizona to Michigan.  About 90% of my fraternity house at ASU were climate refugees from the upper Midwest

People stand a better chance of survival living with the earth burning up than they would living in Detroit.  Anyone who has been there knows I'm right. :yowsa:

Had a substantial government job offer and turned it down.
Because of Detroit. It meant I had to move to Detroit. No way!
I am neither Black nor Muslim. I am not going to Detroit.
This was before 'work from home' and 'Zoom' and all that stuff.

Even with the floods and hurricanes in FL, people have a better chance of surviving than being in Detroit.

We left over 30 years ago.  The devastation to Detroit even then was obvious and they had tried to 'rebuild' the city numerous times only for it to be torn down again.

Well, perhaps at this point in time, if there was a safe way to exist and hide among them, one might just be better off in the long run.

Pretty much so. When we lived in  the outskirts of Detroit I worked for a general contractor and delivered bids to different offices that were located in Detroit.  I got to see up close the architecture and the interiors of some really beautiful buildings. I also got to see some building torn down, areas rebuilt, and torn down again and rebuilt.

Sad.  There's no way I'd ever move back and we still have family in MI that have decided to continue to stay. :shrug:

Liberalism.  Pure liberalism.  Back when I lived in Detroit it was as result of Mayor Coleman Young and his policies derived from LBJ's 'Great Society' policies.

It is another hell hole of a city in our society which I am sure is continuing to expand.

Off the wall prediction?? That's a pretty safe prediction considering that city of Hamtramck has an all Muslim city council and you can hear a calling to Muslim worship in Detroit. Minnesota schools are bent on indoctrinating students and some are requiring them to learn Islamic history and they voted in Ohmar.
