Crybaby Kinzinger was in the 16th District...I'm in the 15th

The 16th District spans 21 counties across central and northwestern Illinois, ranging from McLean County (Bloomington-Normal) and Peoria County (Peoria) to Winnebago (Rockford) and Jo Daviess (Galena). LaHood serves over 725,000 constituents.

Trump has not been convicted by impeachment.
Trump has not been convicted by a jury of his peers in a criminal trial for insurrection.

Not liking a guy is a dangerous precedent for keeping someone's name off the ballot.

Is it Trump's fault that the US Senate and Mitch McConnell chose not to convict him at impeachment?
Is it Trump's fault that Merrick Garland waited too long to start prosecuting Janury 6th in earnest?
Is it Trump's fault that Jack Smith has not indicted him for insurrection which would disqualify Trump if convicted?

We had our chances to disqualify Trump via conviction, but the elites whiffed.

Trump is not the disease, he's the symptom.  Leading from behind is the disease.

An Illinois judge on Thursday paused her own order removing former President Donald Trump from the state's ballot, keeping him on it pending an appeals court decision on the matter.

Cook County Circuit Judge Tracie Porter on Wednesday determined that Trump was ineligible to appear on the ballot under the 14th Amendment's "insurrection" clause due to his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. She briefly paused the order the next day day to allow for Trump's appeal, which he filed on Thursday.

Porter's Thursday pause will remain in effect until the court decides on Trump's appeal, The Hill reported. Her decision made Illinois the third state to attempt to disqualify Trump under the 14th Amendment, after Colorado and Maine.

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Colorado case earlier this month while his Maine disqualification is on hold pending the high court's decision in the Colorado case.
