You know it's bad when people rather live under a Communist dictatorship than San Francisco.

Just brutal. Liao has been assaulted multiple times in San Francisco, including "a horrific assault where he was kicked out of his walker," as well as an instance in which he "was beaten unconscious in the Tenderloin district." Last year he was beaten in a Walgreens.

San Francisco is not in SoCal. Blackbeard needs to brush up on his map skills.

This article, https://sfstandard.com/2024/01/29/rong-xin-liao-san-francisco-attacks-crime-move-back-china/ , has a pretty dramatic pic of what was done to Liao one of the three times he was attacked. Given the hatred for Asian people in certain other communities (SoMa, where he lived, has problems with the Sacred Homeless, druggies, and is near Hunter's Point), Guangzhou or Hong Kong (Cantonese-speaking areas) may be safer for Mr. Liao.
