Climate madness debunked

Sea level rise along the Dutch coast is not accelerating. This is the conclusion of flood risk management expert Hessel Voortman in an article in the scientific journal Journal of Coastal and Hydraulic Structures. Voortman, who holds a PhD in Flood Risk Management, worked for engineering firm Arcadis for more than 18 years and carried out hydraulic engineering projects worldwide. He is also an expert reviewer for the UN's climate panel, the IPCC. This is reported by the website Klimaatgek.nl of the critical climate expert Rob de Vos.
Sea levels have been rising very gradually since the mid-19th century, but climate models warn that this natural rise will accelerate due to global warming. This does not appear to be the case, according to the new study. Voortman also shows that previous predictions by the IPCC and the KNMI for 2020 are already twice as high as the actual measured level.
The government institute Deltares publishes a report on the state of the sea level every five years. The most recent report mentions for the first time an acceleration of sea level rise along the Dutch coast since 1993, De Vos writes. But this acceleration can only be 'seen' after correcting for a wind effect. However, Voortman shows in his study that the wind effect cannot explain an acceleration, if it exists.
