Ted Nugent slams ‘bulls**t’ climate change as scam – ‘If you believe it, you have sh—for brains’

Musician Ted Nugent slammed climate change as a scam and made false claims that global warming is “bulls—t” in a recent episode of his podcast Spirit Campfire.

“You have to have sh—for brains to believe this global warming bullsh—t,” Nugent said. “If you believe it, you have sh—for brains. While you were sleeping, someone opened your skull and took a dump inside your skull.”

Nugent, who is known for his role in The Amboy Dukes band and for his successful solo career, has made controversial statements and become a conservative voice against Democrats, transgender rights, the COVID-19 pandemic and science-backed climate change.

On his podcast, Nugent also attacked electric vehicles, dubbing them a scam. He said people “have to be mentally ill to believe in electric vehicles” and to believe that “wind turbines are better than coal or oil or natural gas or propane.”

Climate change is not a scam. It’s been a natural part of the Earth since there’s been an Earth.

What’s bullshit is politicians who believe that impoverishing people and destroying economies will somehow change a natural event

We had a fella in our high school class who played guitar, and his guitar hero was Ted Nugent. He could rock Ted Nugent songs.

There were people who doubted his claim that he never used drugs. I believe that he never did. If he lied about it, somebody would’ve come out and disputed the claim and as far as I can tell, nobody has yet.

My favorite Ted Nugent song is “stranglehold.” Cranking that first on the eight track, then cassette, later CDs, and now streaming

Maybe the most puzzling claim is that said he didn't know the back sided meaning of the "Journey to the Center of the Mind" during his Amboy Dukes days.

I seriously doubt that he was that naiive.

I saw Nugent as a teenager and nearly got knocked down the arena stairs; it was a wild concert.  Eight years ago we saw Nugent at a local arena, had front row center seats six rows back -- he's still the Motor City Madman as we used to call him in Detroit. He cranked up the volume till we had to hold our ears. Styx, Journey and REO Speedwagon also played. It was an awesome concert.

I believe that he isn't into drugs. He's pretty darn conservative and conveys his political conservatism while on stage.

Exactly...   Major and I had a pretty lengthy discussion about this a year ago on that exact topic. DDY took the magic of Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight and Kill(joyed)royed and Paradise Theatred the band into utter pop driveled shit .  DDY sucks....  Still.

I went with a bunch of people to the Kibbie Dome in Moscow (Idaho) one Saturday afternoon to play some frisbee football. There was a 'Bud Rocks America ' free event going on with REO  Speedwagon and FREE BEER. Either one alone with some advertising and WSU only being eight miles away and the place would have been packed. But virtually no one had heard about it and there was less than two hundred there.

Indeed it was, and IMO it was an absolutely awesome lineup, with Ted heading the 'Rock 'n Roll' Express. I had never seen Journey or Styx before so it was a real treat.  Interestingly they all displayed different backdrops of the American flag.

IMHO Most music/bands these days have much do be desired anyways. I generally only hear them while I'm in the car, otherwise I listen to music from artists I love in the house.  I don't have to put up with the leftist crappola.
