Time to hold back these teachers from graduating.
Keep them away from all the schools in the meantime.

Force them to take and pass Algebra, Trigonometry,
and Calculus. Then this sort of crap evaporates.

It is also time to trash the current math books for
grade and junior high schools. It is only confusion.

If you have a young one, purchase a 1950s or so
age appropriate book text.

Years ago when my grandson was in elementary school and we watched him afterwards he asked me to help him with his math homework and it looked just like that. I told him I couldn't because I didn't do stupid math, and if I showed him how I was taught or how I did it in my head he would get in trouble in school.

I think the teachers go strictly by the example in their teachers textbook, from what I saw with my grandson was that there were teachers who probably couldn't balance their checkbooks that were 'teaching' math and I think those who were competent teaching math were afraid to go against the liberals 'new math' guidelines.

There are thousands (hundreds of thousands?) so called English teachers who have no clue how to even speak English, much less how to 'grade' it. They are appointed as 'English teachers' because they come from 'the hood'. The prissy White Liberal administrators in charge believe they are able to 'reach' the students even though they have no idea what grammar or etymology is, and they literally HATE traditional English Literature (the language of the White devil oppressor).

They say it is because of low salary. This is not true. It is because, like government, people who are attracted to education are typically pedophiles or green hair people with a far Left socialist/liberal/homosexual agenda.

Salary might not be impressive, but check the benefits package. To further remove education from reality, teachers here were getting health insurance that covered vision and dental and prescription drugs, with a $25.00 annual deductible and no co-pay (for working a 9 month year) that extended through the summer (off) months.

No oilfield company I worked for or heard of even came close to that insurance package in 44 years.
