Totally true.  Reached back to grab a bottle of water from my driver's seat.  Haven't been able to raise my right arm above my head now for 2 days!!   **nononono*
During my youth, from age 0 to 55, I was always a healthy bull. Never got sick. Loved aching muscles because to me it meant health and growth. However, after retirement all those muscles begin to atrophy. My entire body is changing shape replacing muscle with fat. This causes massive cramps as my body readjusts to a life of leisure.

As you said, if I reach for something behind my back or move in some weird way, the painful muscle spasms (mostly rib cage, legs, and feet) start. It is all part of nature. Once I started seeing gray in my nose-hair, I knew then that I had won the race. If I die today, I still outlived a lot of people I knew and worked with growing up. For me, everyday after 60 is a bonus. Never expected to get that far.

Getting old is NOT for the faint-of-heart, but it is better than the alternative.

I'm just seeing one high heel and one flat and wondering why anyone would actually sign up to try to walk like that.

I thought maybe she had an 'elevator' wedge in the flat, but noticed that shoulder is lower than the other..

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
