First of all,he HAS NO POLITICAL FUTURE. One more 4 year term is ALL he is going to get.

Secondly,the "legacy" he dreams of is going into the history  books as "The President that saved America from being overran with  illegal aliens,and the President that saved America from socialism/communism."

AND.....,he only has 4 years to do it,and he knows this. Anybody that thinks he is going to be worried about stepping on someone's toes needs to consider that. NOTHING is more important to him than his ego and how he gets written about in the history  books.

I disagree.  I think the legacy he dreams of is being loved by as many people as possible, and he doesn't care which policies get him there.  If he thinks a bunch of new, big spending programs get him there, he'll do that.  If he thinks amnesty gets him there, he'll do that.  The same as he did in the run-up to the 2020 election.  Whatever he thinks will makes him the most popular, that's what he'll do.  The odds of him making tough but necessary decisions that hurt his short-term popularity is zero.

And we already knows he believes that his supporters would keep supporting him even if he shot someone on 5th avenue.   So the only place to go for him to become more loved by more people is to the left.

He stands for nothing but himself.

I agree with you.  He was rejected from being seated another term and I do believe he will do whatever it takes to make him more popular regardless if it's is good or not for the country.  Therein lies the problem -- he won't be seeking another term should he make it into the WH (which I believe is very doubtful) so he doesn't have to worry about accountability.

Reagan was a humble PRESIDENT and got things done, Trump was a loud mouth egotist and nothing he did remained five minutes after Biden was sworn in, so yeah humble is very important when in addition to being strong and building coalitions to pass actual laws to achieve lasting results and a real, positive legacy in the history books though I don't believe that that was ever a reason for what Reagan did unlike Brash Orange Bully....who I don't hate and never did but his mouth and his inability to shut it have made liking him pretty much impossible. NOTHING would please me more than being enthusiastic about a Presidential candidate,but sadly,I have to agree with what you wrote,and in MY opinion,Trump sucks the least because ALL he really cares about is how he gets written up in the history books. That,plus the fact he is already insanely rich and has always been insanely rich,means he is the one candidate that can't be bought.

The FACT that he can ONLY serve ONE 4 year term is a bonus. It means he is the ONLY candidate  running that won't piss away his first term trying to make sure he will get elected for a second term.

Plus,he is a verbal "bomb  thrower",and there ARE some verbal bombs that need to be thrown in order to wake people up. We are on the verge of losing America as a free and independent nation,and the upcoming electing just MIGHT be the last chance we have to start setting things right again.

Trump likes monuments to himself. Look at Trump Towers as an example. There's a very good chance that "caring about how he's written about in the history books" would involve him proposing a new government program we can ill afford, like the LBJ did with the Great Society or Obama did with Obamacare. Presidents, like Calvin Coolidge, did boring things like put us on sound fiscal footing and grew the economy. But FDR, he's the one with the New Deal and SS. How many people do you think even know who Coolidge was?
