The destruction of our Republic has been going on for quite awhile -- I pray a lot.  A miracle is needed and with all the abortions, mutilation of children, gender identity issues, brutal attacks on one another; basically amoral behavior, I just don't see us deserving.

Honestly, Trump does best in those environments even though his substance is non-existent.  His cohorts would be there hooting and hollering and turning it into a typical pep rally rather than a debate.

We've degenerated to the point where that's what a majority or near-majority of GOP voters appear to want.  Not much to be done about that until he's gone.

You political autistics (to be kind) need to realize YOUR brand of 'Conservatism' is a very hard-sell today, and it's an even more difficult to hold that power into another election cycle.

You cannot simply drop 'Ronald Reagan' into 2024 to two generations who have no idea WTF you're talking about.

Do you see the tact the MSM is pulling today?  That Donald Trump is an Authoritarian and will arrest and execute people who he deems "vermin".

...yet he leads the Republican challengers by more than 60 points.

...without even showing up to debate them.

It's not a hard sell at all.  Even Trump pretended really hard to come across as a Conservative in 2016 in order to get elected.  The problem has never been the sell.  The problem has always been the follow through.  And it is because there is no follow through that you lose the next election cycle.

Even if that was true -- and I don't believe it is or we wouldn't have some of the conservative governors we have -- that is still no reason to support politicians who oppose the things in which we believe.  That includes Trump.

Populism isn't durable, and it never has been.  When Trump is gone, one way or the other, his movement will wither away and die.

I'm afraid the Republic is done.  It'll never survive because our young have been indoctrinated right under our noses while we were advancing our precious careers.

Republic died June 1920 when the 19th Amendment was ratified.   Because of "inclusivity".
