Biden speaks with American hostages after release from Hamas custody, pledges support: WH

US President Joe Biden spoke to two American hostages shortly after they were released on Friday, according to the White House.
"The President just completed a call with the two Americans released today after being taken hostage by Hamas during the horrific terrorist assault against Israel," the statement said. "He relayed that they will have the full support of the U.S. government as they recover from this terrible ordeal.
A picture of a smiling Biden speaking on the phone was shared to the official POTUS account on X.

"Jill and I will continue holding close in our hearts all the families of unaccounted for Americans," the post read.
Judith Raanan and her 17-year-old daughter, Natalie, were both let go from Hamas custody in Gaza and are reportedly en route to a military base in central Israel to reunite with their family, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on X.
