Plus-size influencer who petitioned for free, extra plane seats now calls on hotels to enlarge hallways

A plus-size influencer who previously demanded airlines comp larger passengers for extra seats is now asking hotels around the world to make a number of changes to better accommodate overweight guests — including by making the hallways wider.

In a video posted to her TikTok last month, Jaelynn Chaney listed several ways hotels can create “size-inclusive” amenities.

She said she is “on a mission to revolutionize the travel industry, and make it a more accessible, accepting, accommodating place for all,” adding: “The needs of plus-sized travelers matter just as much as anybody else.”

“We deserve an environment that respects our needs and body diversity,” Chaney claimed.

Among her many demands were to “make elevators and hallways [more] spacious, to allow for easy movement of larger individuals, and those utilizing mobility devices.”

Chaney also suggested hotels raise their toilet seats and retrofit each room with handheld shower heads so bigger-bodied people can more easily wash themselves.

Hotel hallways are fairly wide, in my experience. I've never seen anyone - even on "My 600 Pound Life" - who couldn't fit. Perhaps she's never actually stayed in a hotel.  :shrug:

The real problem is the beds. Don't you hate finding out the mattress in your hotel room has been squished flat by some gigantic former guest?

So if the 'plus sizers' need larger hallways, then they are going to need larger beds, larger rooms, larger toilets, larger closets, larger  balconies, larger swimming pools, larger dining rooms, etc. Obviously (at least to most) it would be cost prohibitive.

How, about they come up with a 'plus-size' hotel just for those overweight and along with it they should be prepared to pay a hefty plus-size price.

But seriously, I hope she considers getting a gastric sleeve/ She would feel so much better with 150 lbs off.

Run? Hell a fast walk would do it to get away.  She'd be gasping for air after 12 steps..or a 12 steps fatso antonymous meeting on her way to a Krispy Kreme donut
