MIAMI - Travelers are surprised to hear that two TSA agents are accused of stealing from passengers at MIA's E checkpoint. "We trust TSA got it and they wouldn't do anything, tamper with my stuff," said passenger Sola Jeged.

The state attorney's office released several video clips. In one we see agents concentrating on a specific bag, and then moments later, we watch as one of them puts his hand in his pocket.

According to the police report, the pair is accused of "…removing $600 from a passenger's wallet, while the passenger was in the screening process…"  ...

Trusting the government has a long sad history of exactly this sort of thing. Of course, don't travel with any large amounts of cash. My Aunt/Uncle lost 10 grand that way, cash gone.

It always amazes me that people travel with piles of cash or gobs of jewelry, and be so careless with it.

Do TSA Pre-check, it's faster, and I think you are less likely to get ripped off.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Sad to say I believe there are more criminals working as TSA agent than honest individuals, and in the criminal category I include sexual perverts.

We don't fly much anymore, but I've noticed the TSA agents are about the least impressive bunch imaginable.

Remember when I said TSA tried to steal my phone last year at JFK? This is exactly what I was talking about. Supervisor told me they didn't have it. But Tanya could see the location tag right there

Happened to me at Washington Dulles in 2022. Put my passport and wallet on in the tray as instructed. Neither  came out. After complaining I got them both back with the explanation that they had "fallen" inside of the machine. $400 was missing when I checked later.

They are nothing more, maybe less, that a bunch of Paul Blart's; Mall Cop.

Time to get rid of the TSA.

Pretty sure TSA agents receive less training than the grill man at Wendy's - a job that probably would be too complex for them.
