Car crashes into second floor of Pennsylvania home, left dangling from roof in ‘intentional act’

A car launched into the air and landed in a second-floor bedroom of a Pennsylvania home, where it remained dangling on Sunday afternoon in a scene straight out of an action movie.

Officials with the Junction Fire Company responded to the wild crash on Alfarata Road in Decatur Township at around 3:15 p.m. and found the Toyota Corolla stuck on the roof and through a dormer.

The fire company shared unbelievable photos of the crash and the gaping hole left behind in the side of the house.

The Corolla, which has Pennsylvania plates, sits atop a lower roof over the front porch of the home as the front of the car is smashed into a now-crooked dormer with large splinterings of wood littering the roof and lawn below in one of the images.

Wow!!  I wonder what led the driver to want to ram his vehicle into the house?  What did the owner(s) of the house do to tick him off? 

People are sure crazy these days.

Local papers and stations often report sooner and with more details. They also tend to do updates and follow-ups more often.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, there were two people inside the home when the car crashed. They told police that they were seated directly under where the car landed and were afraid that if the car hadn't gone airborne, they would be dead.

Miller was allegedly seen driving 90 to 100 mph just before he hit the house.

"[The vehicle] struck a culvert is about all we can officially say," a fire company spokesperson told FOX43. According to the affidavit, a neighbor alleged that Miller drove through his fence and field before going airborne.
 

It took emergency crews about three hours to remove the vehicle from the second floor of the home, according to the fire department. Miller was able to extract himself from the car and was reportedly "running around the scene stating [that] he saw demons and believed he was a demon."

State Police in Lewistown are handling the investigation of the incident. A spokesperson said the crash was the result "of the driver attempting to inflict self-harm due to a mental health episode."

According to an officer who rode with Miller to the hospital, Miller allegedly stated that he had been drinking vodka and may have been smoking weed.

Mental problems, alcohol, and weed are probably not a good combination, though I can't say that from personal experience.
