Fox hosts get a giggle out of Trump’s visit to Dairy Queen: ‘This truly is where the former president shines’

With all the negativity swirling around American politics and the 2024 race beginning to heat up, former President and GOP primary front-runner Donald Trump granted Fox News hosts — and a weary nation — a moment of levity over an ice-cold treat when he dropped by an Iowa Dairy Queen after a campaign speech on Friday.

“Everybody wants a Blizzard,” Trump told the Dairy Queen cashier. “What the hell is a Blizzard?”

Trump asked the cashier to “take care of the people,” who greeted him with cheers of “U.S.A.!” and said, “We’ll do the Blizzard thing.”

It was enough to crack up the crew of “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday.

Just about one of the best ice cream treats you can buy at Dairy Queen. I think it was the Blizzard that actually saved Dairy Queen.

I don’t eat them often. But when I do… oh boy. And I don’t have a particular favorite one.

It's been awhile since we've ventured to the local DQ.  I haven't had a blizzard though in quite awhile.  I normally just get ice cream in a cup with caramel sauce and some chopped peanuts. :shrug:

DQ used to have peanut M&M blizzards but they only do the plain M&M's; it's just not the same.

Funny.  Yes, the president is pretty down to earth and I do find that a good attribute.

Royal Ultimate Choco Brownie Extreme is the best Blizzard. Or maybe the classic Heath Blizzard.

Near Thanksgiving, they put out the pumpkin pie blizzard. It’s actually pretty good.

I haven't, no.  Looks like we don't have any in Louisville, but there is one in Georgetown.  Maybe next time we're in that area, we'll look them up.
