I personally don't see an actual contradiction between his public statements, and his willingness to accept small donations from individual citizens.

However, the dude did accept -- in 2016 and 2020 -- all sorts of donations and support from various conservative and business organizations that he now claims are somehow tainted when they support someone other than him.  So he's definitely a two-faced hypocrite when it comes to them.

Exactly - he is going to be swamped by democrat fundraisers, and he will endorse political novices with fringe personalities, while indulging in his own conspiracy theories.  The polling is a mirage, just as it was for his senate candidates.
