‘She was 17, I was 40′: Biden makes cringeworthy joke about Eva Longoria at White House screening of Flamin’ Hot
June 16, 2023 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton President Biden once again made a creepy joke, this time it was at the White House during the screening of actress and director Eva Longoria’s debunked biopic “Flamin’ Hot” Thursday night as he got handsy with her while the first lady enthusiastically clapped.
“She was 17, I was 40,” Biden, 80, quipped about the 48-year-old actress. The crowd seemed to find it somehow funny.
The president held Longoria’s hand and first lady Jill Biden’s as they walked onto the South Lawn for the actress’ directorial debut.
Longoria is pushing a now-debunked story about Richard Montañez, who claimed to be the inventor of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. A 2021 Los Angeles Times investigation revealed that was untrue. Longoria chose to simply ignore the facts when it came to Montañez’s story. Frito-Lay has admitted he didn’t invent the snack.
“None of our records show that Richard was involved in any capacity in the Flamin’ Hot test market,” Frito-Lay wrote in a statement given to the Los Angeles Times. “We have interviewed multiple personnel who were involved in the test market, and all of them indicate that Richard was not involved in any capacity in the test market. That doesn’t mean we don’t celebrate Richard, but the facts do not support the urban legend.”
