Suspect in U-Haul crash into White House grounds ID’d as Sai Kandula

The alleged neo-Nazi accused of “intentionally” ramming a U-Haul truck into a security barrier near the White House has been identified as 19-year-old Sai Varsith Kandula, The Post has learned.

Kandula, a Chesterfield, Missouri man, was identified as the person who careened the box truck – adorned with a Nazi flag – into barriers along Lafayette Square, roughly just steps from the White House, Monday night, US Park Police officials said.

He has since been charged with threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict harm on a president, vice president or family member, as well as assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, trespassing and destruction of federal property, US Park Police said.

Law enforcement sources told ABC News Kandula rented a U-Haul vehicle from Dulles International Airport in Virginia after traveling from St. Louis.

After barreling the vehicle into the security barriers, he reportedly exited the front seat and started waving the red, swastika-emblazoned flag before he was taken into custody.

Our newest one is a brown guy who crashed an empty uhaul into the White House barricade and the only thing inside it was a Nazi flag that they proceeded to lay out on the ground for a perfect photo op.

Chesterfield, Mo., is not St. Louis. It's just a suburb in the western portion of St. Louis County (as distinguished from St. Louis City, which is an entirely different jurisdiction).

Yes, very normal. Police often pull evidence out of terrorist trucks and lay them out neatly in clear view of the media to record their every move. Police do this all the time.

What appears to be a Nazi flag was just pulled from the cab of a U Haul truck that rammed the fence at Lafayette Square in front of the White House.

Kandula’s public defender argued that there was no probable cause for his arrest, contenting there was no evidence that the actions were intentional. The judge said the evidence suggested he drove into the barriers, pulled back and then drove forward again, indicating he intended to destroy the property. The judge also said the suspect posed a “significant risk to the community” and a flight risk.

According to an affidavit, Kandula had been planning this for six months.

In an interview with investigators, Kandula said his goal was to “get to the white house, seize power and be put in charge of the nation.”

When agents asked him how he would seize power, he told them he would “Kill the President if that’s what I have to do and would hurt anyone that would stand in my way.”

When asked about the flag he showed at the scene, Kandula said it was a swastika and that he purchased the flag online because “Nazis have a great history.”

The affidavit goes on to say Kandula said he admired Nazis’ “authoritarian nature, eugenics and their one world order.”

He asked if he looked up to any leaders, and he told agents “Hitler, because he was a strong leader.”  ...

The box truck’s driver smashed into the barrier near the north side of Lafayette Square on Monday at around 10 p.m., Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. No one was injured. ...

Indian 19-year-old Sai Varshith Kandula has been identified by police as the man who allegedly crashed a U-Haul truck into the security gates outside the White House on Monday night while transporting a Swastika flag.

Sai Varshith Kandula, 19, from Chesterfield, Missouri, was arrested at the scene after plowing the vehicle into security barriers at around 10pm. After crashing the vehicle, he jumped out of the van and started waving a Nazi flag.

Once in custody, Kandula told the FBI he wanted to overthrow the government, kill President Biden and take over himself. He is now being held in custody.

They're saying he's not a citizen, but I haven't seen anything yet about who his parents are, or how long he was in St. Louis County (long enough to attend high school for several years). As I said earlier, Chesterfield is a very prosperous part of west St. Louis County, so I would like to know the back story.

Our newest one is a brown guy who crashed an empty uhaul into the White House barricade and the only thing inside it was a Nazi flag that they proceeded to lay out on the ground for a perfect photo op.

Well it turns out the same DC prosecutors who imprison peaceful J6’ers for years have dropped all major charges against this Indian immigrant.

As Kristinn Taylor reported — Eyewitnesses say the truck was driven twice into a barrier before stopping. The incident took place at the north side of Lafayette Park at 16th and H St, NW. Police laid out the flag on the sidewalk near the truck, apparently for the media to film, before folding it up and taking it away.

Internet users immediately were suspect. The only thing they found in the truck was a Nazi flag? This was too convenient for Joe Biden and the FBI’s narrative of the dreaded white supremacist threat in America. It smelled like another fed operation.  ...

On Friday DC prosecutors dropped all of the serious charges against Sai Kandula who said he was attempting to overthrow the White House.  These are the same prosecutors who are sending Trump supporters to prison for several years for touching a metal sign Ray Epps was hurling at police.  ...
