The ratings boost and the increase in ad rate buys if he went there would pa for his salary...he might have to take a lower paycheck at the beginning...but if he were smart he'd tie yearly increases in salary to the improved ratings in his time slot every year.

Someone provide me proof that FNC is not suicidal.

My theory?

TC had the film and dirt on J6, and was ready to unleash hell.  Murdoch blinked, and like we all know that one week expose on this scandal went over like a whimper, which had to be a massive professional embarassment for Carlson.

Fox does not have the bench strength to replace TC.  In the science of ratings, ususally one superstar props up the rest by inertia of not changing the remote. 

Waters?  Nope, maybe in 5-10 years
Hannity?-  Network's joke, not hardly
Ingraham? Too dry and boring.

Fox could really toss the dice and install Gutfeld and that format, but I don't think that is in wheelhouse of the 7/8 pm time slot.

Really loooking forward to seeing where he lands.  I hope it is NewsMax, because I think they have the widest TV viewership.
