Last night's episode was pretty light on new relevations, so I am wondering if the powers that be have squelched some of Tucker's ability to call attention to the truth.

I am guessing the shot over the bow at Musk for congressional subpoenas was warning shot to Murdoch.  Over government is 100% rotten to the core. And the uniparty that controls it, is hell bent in not letting any pol or news outlet call out them out of the corruption grift that includes making lawmakers rich at taxpayer expense, and holding a noose on that narrative which includes corrupted elections.

... Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., took to the Senate floor to call for the censorship of Fox News, where this author is a contributor, and prevention of more footage being made available to Americans. He said Carlson exercising his freedom of the press was a threat to democracy.

As one former White House reporter put it, “It’s frightening to see Senate leaders demand a media company ‘stop’ reporting on the government, police, issues of law and justice.”

Surely this would be an opportunity for the otherwise weak and feckless Senate Republicans to show some backbone, right? Wrong. ...

Leading the group was Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Raju invited him to bash McCarthy. It’s not saying much, but McConnell was at least smart enough to decline that opportunity. But he did take the opportunity to attack a media outlet for daring to say something different than what a police leader said. Really. He said, “It was a mistake, in my view, for Fox News to depict this in a way that is completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks.”

Let’s leave aside the abject offensiveness of the Republican leader saying journalists must simply repeat what governmental authorities say and not show video footage “at variance” with what the government says. What is McConnell doing? Seriously? The man only rarely speaks on camera to reporters, so his decision to do so is intentional. He brought a prop — the statement from the government official — to wave around for the camera.

Even if he didn’t agree with every journalistic decision Carlson made, he could have said any number of things to serve the American people — and Republican voters — instead of serving Chuck Schumer and CNN. ...

Searching the Google-owned platform for evidence of these newly uncovered truths, “Tucker Carlson,” or any variation of the host’s name combined with “January 6 Videos,” however, returns a blue “developing news alert” that tops the search result page. The alerts vary in article content but always offer users the opportunity to click their way to a corporate media website.

One alert for this particular news item suggests users read a CNN article titled “What to know about the Tucker Carlson January 6 footage” which questions the validity of the footage Carlson aired. The CNN write-up falsely accuses Carlson of trying to “downplay the violence” at the Capitol, and carries water for Democrats and the Jan. 6 Committee on topics such as the circumstances of Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick’s death. ... The whole point of the fascist draconian prosecution of any Republican within 10 miles of D.C. on January 6, is to keep the Right and or Libertarians from getting their feet on protesting. Grieving Sicknick family rages at Tucker and Fox News for exposing facts about death

The family of deceased Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, who died from a stroke in the days after the Jan. 6th riot, is raging mad at Fox News host Tucker Carlson over his attempt to expose the truth about their son’s death.

In a statement issued to CNN late Monday, the family attacked Carlson and Fox News writ large for allegedly doing “the bidding of [former President Donald] Trump” by airing previously unseen footage from the Jan. 6th riot.

“The Sicknick family is outraged at the ongoing attack on our family by the unscrupulous and outright sleazy so-called ‘news’ network of Fox News who will do the bidding of Trump or any of his sycophant followers, no matter what damage is done to the families of the fallen, the officers who put their lives on the line, and all who suffered on Jan 6th due to the lies started by Trump and spread by sleaze slinging outlets like Fox,” the statement begins.

“Fox has shown time and time again that they are little more than the propaganda arm of the Republican Party and like Pravda, will do whatever they are told to keep the hatred and the lies flowing while suppressing anything resembling the truth. Fox does this not for any sense of morality as they have none, but for the quest for every penny of advertising money they can get from those who buy airtime from them. It is well past time that we move past Trump, the GOP, and all of the lies which have severely weakened and divided us as a nation and start seeking truth,” it continues.

It’s not clear how Fox News is “suppressing anything resembling the truth” by playing the surveillance clips from the Jan. 6th riot that had been ignored by the partisan, one-sided Jan. 6th congressional committee.

I did 2 radio interviews on the ride to O’Hare this morning.

When I finished, the driver asked if he could tell me something about January 6.

Driver: “January 6 was a movie. It was made by Democrats and the media. None of it was real.”

Exposure limits future usefulness to whomever is behind the scenes pulling the strings.

Tucker Reveals More About Videos to Glenn Beck, Including How Evidence Nailed the J6 Committee

Tucker Carlson did an interview with Glenn Beck on Wednesday, going into more detail about the Jan. 6 video footage that he had been covering. We reported on some of that video footage on the first here and here.

Among the things he addressed in the interview was the question of the “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley. Beck said that a Capitol Police official had remarked that in some situations on that day, the police tried to de-escalate with some of the protesters. Carlson said they likely did but he said that didn’t seem to truly explain the situation with Chansley who was not only led around the building by the cops, but none of them tried to stop him, even when they vastly outnumbered him — nine officers to one guy, and they opened doors for him. He prayed and thanked God for them helping him. At no point did he hurt anyone, nor was he charged with hurting anyone. He pled guilty to “obstruction of official proceedings” and got a 41-month sentence.
