6 arrested after violent protesters cause mayhem, set APD car on fire in downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA — A peaceful protest in downtown Atlanta turned violent Saturday evening when protesters set a police car on fire and started smashing windows.

Six protesters were arrested, Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum announced in a news conference on Saturday night. Those people have not been identified and their charges have not been released.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said several of those who were arrested do not live in the Atlanta area or in Georgia. . . .

It dawns on me that these sort of "protests" are being done, partly to destroy stuff and loot, but at some point, people in general will so stridently cry for a crackdown so ANY protest, actually conducted peacefully, will be shut down, and violently so.

If there isn't violence, it only takes a half dozen or so with some IEDs to make it look like it's a general thing.

Of course, when and where and against whom the rules are applied depends on whether your group is officially backed by Kameltoe's bailout bunch.

I'm curious, but do the broken windows follow a pattern of lootable hi value merchandise outlets, or are they random. The ones with the rocks might be scouts for the follow up-crews.
