The DOJ seized an additional six items consisting of classified documents from Biden's Wilmington home

The Justice Department seized additional classified records from President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home during a search it conducted on Friday, Fox News has learned.

The Justice Department conducted a search of the house beginning Friday morning at 9:45 a.m., which concluded Friday night around 10:30 p.m. and covered "all working, living and storage spaces in the home," Biden's personal attorney Bob Bauer said Saturday evening.

"At the outset of this matter, the President directed his personal attorneys to fully cooperate with the Department of Justice," Bauer said. "Accordingly, having previously identified and reported to DOJ a small number of documents with classification markings at the President’s Wilmington home, and in the interest of moving the process forward as expeditiously as possible, we offered to provide prompt access to his home to allow DOJ to conduct a search of the entire premises for potential vice-presidential records and potential classified material."

Bauer said that by agreement with the Justice Department, representatives of both Biden's personal legal team and the White House Counsel’s Office were present for the search. Neither the president nor the first lady were present during the search.

"DOJ had full access to the President’s home, including personally handwritten notes, files, papers, binders, memorabilia, to-do lists, schedules, and reminders going back decades," Bauer continued.

It’s not 6 classified dox. Awkwardly worded statement by Biden team (ie, spin as favorable to Biden as possible) was ‘6 items consisting of documents with classification markings.’ We don’t know what they mean by ‘item’ (box? envelope?) nor how many classified dox in each ‘item’.

The DOJ confirmed the search of Biden's home was 'consensual'

  White House lawyers reportedly requested the FBI search that uncovered a fourth batch of misplaced classified documents inside President Biden's private residence on Friday.

Justice Department officials had previously stated that the 13-hour search of Biden's Wilmington, Delaware home was "consensual," but it was unclear which party had initiated it. It now appears that the White House requested the search of its own accord, NBC News reported, citing White House sources.

Friday's batch of documents was the fourth to be found since November, and the third to be found inside Biden's Wilmington home.

"On Jan. 20, 2023, the FBI executed a planned, consensual search of the President's residence in Wilmington, Delaware," Joseph D. Fitzpatrick, an assistant U.S. attorney to U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch, told Fox News Saturday.

The ‘six documents’ hoax in latest discovery of classified docs destroys the narrative of ‘transparency’ and ‘good faith’

Many media outlets -- and even the GOP House Judiciary Committee -- are reporting that “6 documents” were found Friday in the latest search of Joe Biden’s Wilmington, DE mansion.

But a careful reading of the statement of Biden’s personal attorney Bob Bauer, on which this conclusion is based, reveals it to be at best a misunderstanding and at worst a hoax.

“DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President.

“Six items consisting of documents with classification markings” is deceptively vague, and I would argue misleading language. What exactly are the “items”? Are they Bankers Boxes full of hundreds of documents? They could be. We don’t know, and so far, the DOJ has said nothing to the public to enlighten us.

I have many more questions than those! Chief among the being WHY did DOJ agree to let Biden lawyers, who hold no security clearances, to rifle through everything BEFORE the DOJ went in?  What disappeared while that was going on? etc.

And BTW:  The lawyer representing Joe in the documents matter is Bob Bauer who is the husband of Mao enthusiast Anita Dunn.

Why was Biden allowed to visit the crime scene before the search for evidence was complete in the classified documents scandal?

Make no mistake: mishandling classified documents is a crime, even when unintentional under the standard of “gross negligence.” That makes Biden’s lakeside Wilmington, DE mansion (that once belonged to a DuPont family branch) a crime scene. And the latest news that an unspecified number of classified documents (not necessarily only 6 despite widespread reports) were discovered Friday mans that it was an active crime scene last weekend when Joe and “Dr. Jill” were allowed unsupervised access to their home there.

I am not a law enforcement expert, but elementary logic suggests that allowing a potential suspect access to a crime scene before an investigation is complete risks all kind of mischief, including destruction of evidence. 

At best, this constitutes gross negligence on the part of the Depart of Justice investigators. And that is being very charitable, particularly given the treatment afforded President Trump at his Mar A Lago residence, where his lawyers, unlike Biden’s, were not allowed to view or participate in the search conducted under humiliating and public circumstances.

Unlike the events at Mar-a-Lago, the FBI courteously waited for permission to search Biden’s home. There was no armed raid. No kicking out anyone from Casa de Biden and probably no rude questions about whether any of Biden’s associates removed any of the more problematic stuff before the search.

“During the search, which lasted from around 9:45 a.m. to around 10:30 p.m. Friday, members of Mr. Biden’s personal legal team were present along with officials from the White House Counsel’s Office, according to Mr. Bauer’s statement.”

Nice of the DOJ to offer every possible courtesy to their boss.

The FBI search found more classified documents. And at the rate things are going, there’ll be classified documents scattered across half of Delaware.
