Confidential government conference fears millions losing heat this winter…schools now handing out blankets for children to keep warm.
 
German online daily Bild here reports on how the country’s federal government “fears a millionfold heating failure in winter”, citing sources from a confidential conference between the office of the Chancellor and the federal states.

The worries that Germans may have to freeze and go to extremes to stay warm are as real as ever, so much so that German schools have begun turning down the heat to save on fuel and handing out blankets to children so that they can keep warm in the classroom during their lessons, reports the pleiteticker.de here.

This is so very sad. The only extreme they need to go to is to make wood and lump coal available, and produce the means to use it. A small stove, knock out a window and put up a stack... Instant reliable and cheap heat.

People are going to freeze to death, literally for nothing. For the price of a wood stove kit. This is inhumane.

The dumb socialist Euro-trash did this to themselves ... it's all self-inflicted ... they drank the Climate Change Kool-Aid ... and they compounded the error by single-sourcing their natural gas supply to Russia ... stupid is as stupid does.

!!!! DO NOT LET THEM CLOSE YOUR EXISTING ELECTRICITY GENERATION STATIONS !!!!

We are not any different ... we are just slightly behind the Germans ... if there is a brutally cold Winter in New England ... utility regulators will need to decide to ration natural gas for electricity generation or heating.

Many of my enighbors supplement their oil or propane heat by burning wood.  One neighbor just installed a Generac backup generator.

I supplement my oil heat with electric mica-thermic space heaters.

The limousine liberal NIMBY solutions will be:

1.) energy relief programs (government cash gievaways)
2.) windfall profits taxes on "greedy" energy companies
3.) more wind turbines, solar panels, and storage batteries

One outfit is apply to transform a local underutilized stripmall into a energy storage battery farm.  Won't heat my house, but will make my smug neighbors with Summer homes on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard feel better about themselves.
