He has done this his entire life,and I honestly doubt he even accepts that there IS a difference between a lie and the truth.

Don't worry. My "special" shoes are Hoka balanced or plush cushioning, or New Balance "Fresh Foam" models. Unpadded shoes are not good for plantar fasciitis.
