I don't care if it was the absolutely perfect textbook execution of a search warrant; the fact remains that this has never been done to a former president before for something as tissue-thin as a technical violation of the presidential records act, and in fact the records laws were never enforced against Obama or Clinton notwithstanding clear and demonstrable evidence that Clinton knowingly mishandled classified information, divulged it to people who were not approved to see it, and destroyed evidence when she was caught at it.

No matter how "by the book" it was, it is still a banana-republic political persecution campaign.

DOJ source says that Garland "knew about the grand jury and what material federal prosecutors were seeking. He insists, though, that Garland had no prior knowledge of the date and time of the specific raid, nor was he asked to approve it."
