The Media - Life Imitating Art
« on: August 10, 2022, 10:39:04 am »
Those the own, manage, and profit from the media business need us to be mindless rubes who consume whatever it is they are trying to sell us - a product, a service, an idea, a candidate, a belief, request for donation, or call to action.

This monologue from the 1976 movie, 'Network', reminds us that media is a tool of influence and manipulation.

Remember what he says the next time you watch the tube.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview
