Meghan McCain criticized Trump-endorsed candidate Kari Lake’s lead in the Arizona Republican gubernatorial primary on Wednesday, saying the state has gone “full blown MAGA.”

As of Wednesday morning, Lake leads Karrin Taylor Robson, who was endorsed by former Vice President Mike Pence and current Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R), by about 1.7 percentage points, or about 11,300 raw votes, according to The Associated Press. The AP has not called the race and estimates about 20 percent of the votes have yet to be counted.

“I see my initial predictions were right despite the initial excitement of Robson pulling ahead,” McCain wrote on Twitter.

“Congratulations to my home state for full making the transition to full blown MAGA/conspiracy theory/fraudster,” she added. “The voters have spoken – be careful what you wish for.”

The primary has marked the latest proxy battle between former President Trump and establishment Republican figures, with Trump zeroing in on his unfounded claims of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election while the party’s establishment wing has focused on contrasting with the Democratic Party on issues like inflation.

McCain, the daughter of former Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is a longtime critic of Trump, who repeatedly disparaged the late senator and 2008 Republican presidential nominee.

The American people rejected McCain in 2008 (I voted against OhBummer! and for Palin, not for McCain), made Trump President, and McCain jealously tried to back-stab Trump. If that's the legacy Meghan is loyal to, I hope the people of AZ grind it into the desert sand.

See the results from the AZ Primary Tuesday.  The McCainiacs lost bigly, with Kari Lake sweeping all 15 Counties.  When the Maricopa count shifted to Lake last night, the Networks finally relented and called the race for Governor.  The same thing happened with the big state-wide races.

I would fully expect Swedes to feel that way about Sweden and Finns to feel that way about Finland. 

They don't go touting it. 

I think we are a great nation...and could be even greater (better).

The problem becomes:

1. We don't agree on what a more perfect union looks like.  I prefer to think of it in terms of liberty (maximum liberty).
2. Others see it differently (healthcare is a human right, which bespeaks a reduction in liberty in my book....at least the way they want to do it.....we do have amessed up health care system.....but Obamacare is NOT a fix). 
3. What makes us so good is that we have 50 different systems (although the left is constantly trying to homogonize us).
4. We also have a great process that allows us to change things (and I want to preserve those processes which is why....whenever I catch grief for voting for Trump, I unapologetically say.....Gorsuch, Kavennaugh, Barrett.....then I walk away....I also throw in a thank you to Ruth BG if I want to really annoy them)

I agree with all four points here. 

I especially agree with point 3.  The Dems have made it very clear they want to break the 50-State Federal Republic to replace it with some sort of mob blob, and in my opinion this is an existential threat.

I don't see the GOP touting the 10th the way we should be. 

Or educating people as to how it works.

I explain it to left-wing co-workers and they find the concept rather attractive.  Using a more local government to achieve their Utopia.  They are welcome to try.  Just don't drag the rest of us with you.
