Vice President Harris was mocked online for debuting another "new accent" during a Congressional Black Caucus event Saturday night.

"Hello to all of my Divine Nine brothers and sisters," Harris said at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Phoenix Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C. "And to all my HBCU brothers and sisters."

The account End Wokeness shared the clip on X, writing: "BREAKING: Kamala Harris unveils a new accent at the Black Caucus Dinner."


"New? Or is it her old fake black accent?" X user Paul A. Szypula, who has more than 232,700 followers, responded. "Either way, it’s incredibly insulting to black people. Shame on Kamala."

Towns and villages across the Caribbean bear names that pay homage to Irish immigrants. Locations such as Kildare, Sligoville and Ulster Spring can be found in Jamaica, with the phone book filled with pages of Irish surnames.

Kinsale in Montserrat, located in the Caribbean, shares its name with a town in County Cork, despite being over 3,700 miles apart. Uniquely, Montserrat is the only country outside Ireland to declare St Patrick's Day a national holiday. ...

... Caribbeans have Irish accents traced back to Irish ancestors who settled there in the 17th century as servants on English-owned plantations. It is believed that King James II, followed by Charles I and then Oliver Cromwell, sold over 500,000 Irish Catholics into slavery throughout the 1600s. ...

I've heard about a relationship between Jamaican and Irish accents, but this is the first time I've read about Irish Catholics being sold into slavery.  The slavery part is not surprising. Many British Protestants considered Irish Catholics to be sub-human.  This is why I get angry when liberals talk about White Privilege.  Not all whites were privileged, especially the Irish.

Vice President Harris, during a Hurricane Milton update from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday, covered her mouth and appeared to tell staff she was on a live broadcast after stumbling through a speech to the people of Florida.

President Biden and Harris received a briefing from disaster relief authorities on life-saving preparations for Hurricane Milton. The two also received the latest updates on the forecast and expected impacts for Florida.
 
While Biden attended the meeting from the White House, Harris and others attended virtually.

At one point during the briefing, Harris covered her mouth and appeared to relay a message to someone else.
