When the news just seems like too much to bear and it feels like I'm wearing it on my shoulders, it's therapy for me to come here and let my mind enjoy putting together some tunes that are tied together in some way. I try to emulate a popular and iconic DJ we had here in Houston (Paul Berlin) who would do these shows where he'd string together one song after another, each having some kind of relationship with the previous one. His selections would be from various genres and eras, and I always looked forward to his programs.

Also, I have a jillion (hyperbole much?) vinyl records, so I've always enjoyed spinning the platters -- so much so that I earned the nickname DJ.  :cool: YouTube makes it sooooo much easier to find the songs I want.
