@corbe Thanks. I hadn't heard that one. Great song. I didn't realize what a prolific songwriter he was until I started looking into it a year or so ago. I have all kinds of respect for good songwriters. Extra points if they can effectively perform the songs themselves. I was just reminded of how prolific Jim Croce was, so major kudos for the talent of both White and Croce.
I went to a concert ( in the 90's) and Tony Joe opened for Joe Cocker. I was expecting Poke Salad Annie. Not that there is anything wrong with a song about salad with "chomp, chomp...chomp" in the lyrics

. But I was pleasantly surprised when he sang his repertoire and a couple of covers. I enjoyed him as much as I did Cocker.
