That's interesting, here in California the voters seem to have passed every GD'd proposition ever thought up to tax themselves for school improvements...for the children you know. Anyway it seems that school improvements are actually being made. In the districts around me the practice is to close down one campus at a time and gut it, remove asbestos, bring it up to code including HVAC and then move on to the next campus. I can only assume this is being done across the state. So why can't they do this elsewhere? maybe if so much money wasn't wasted on Bloat like administration there would be more funds for things that actually have an effect on how children learn.
Like many here, none of the schools I attended had AC and while I didn't have to deal with the higher heat and humidity of other states it got plenty hot in LA county. Raise your hand if the answer to high temps in your classroom was for the teacher to turn out the lights?
